Wow, Anthony played very bad. Manu's triple double was somewhat announced by you yesterday iirc. Tough to see Timmy go down. I'd lower the injury slider by some points, imho they happen too often.

Hey, one time things are going smooth, I think it's ok if I have more followers.

Jae wrote:That's not nice shadow. A lot of effort has gone into this, more than his usual stories.

Again thanks Jae.

Ok, my bad as I can admit that the presentation is good eye candy especially the videos (never seen that in a Thierry story before) but I'm still not as convinced as you guys that we're dealing with a brand new Thierry here. I'll probably change my opinion if he can keep it up and the quality until he reaches the All-Star game. Of course I expect a grand presentation of the ASG where Thierry will apply all that he has learned and done through the years to blow us away with the ASG recap. Then and only then will I 'believe'.

TP and Timmaay both injured now? boooo. well, at least Mr. Ballspot stepped up HUGE (triple doub - daaang! )

btw,

Yeah, incredibly Maggette played some defense on him. I said I had the challenge to get Manu at least a triple-double before the season ends. When I saw at the Halftime Report he was 9-5-5, I said, I can do it tonight  And yeah I already lowered the injury slider, it was getting frustrating.

shadowGrinch wrote:Less Manu more Duncan plz.

Parker is close to return, but Duncan's out with the injury for a week... as I said I think I'm gonna suffer some L's... if I remember correctly I have the Grizzlies, Suns and Nuggets again in the coming games.

I did have a couple of videos in the Blazers story ("Uprise") but IMO, sucked comparing them to this videos. I'm not convinced either until the season is completed. Hoping for some ideas to pop for the ASG...

Yeah it sucks. I already lowered the injury slider. I knew I was gonna get Manu a triple-double at some time, didn't know it was gonna be this quick. :D

I have Fraps to record the little pieces and then "Camtasia Studio" to edit and create the video. I don't record the whole game, only the parts when the quarters end & start, halftime report, the Sprite Spark, and the signature highlights, nothing more than that... then put all the vids together, cut parts that I don't need, silence in some parts, then add some music... maybe I exaggerated with 10 mins, I'd say in maximum 30 mins the video is done, it's not that hard. Maybe make a video of the next game with all signature highlights? You having experience, any tips?

Off-topic... Clutch... only 20 days till Christmas, then you can open that box... you'll never play another basketball game, I will tell you that.

Otoo outshines Sit in NLSC duel, but Blue Devils top Huskies in thriller
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (Connecticut :: Duke)

DUKE, December 17 -- Will Sit and Zee Otoo insist there is no added incentive to perform when they face each other. Their teammates disagree. Otoo had 18 points and 10 rebounds and outplayed Sit in a matchup of NLSC Academy guards, but Sit's game-winning dunk led the Duke Blue Devils to a 73-69 win over the Connecticut Huskies on Friday night. “They're very competitive and good friends. I think when they play, both of them are on their toes,” Blue Devil Lance Thomas said; Thomas earned POTG honors with 20 points and 7 boards. “They're trying to be aggressive and it made for an exciting game tonight for everyone involved,” he added. Otoo scored eight points in the third quarter when the Huskies rallied from a 16-point deficit and even led by 5 points. Sit, also a good friend of North Carolina Tar Heels rival Leo Lai, had 7 points, three rebounds and a game-high 10 assists, but his dunk was the decisive basket. “We're good friends, yes, but at the same time he's just like any other guard in the league,” Sit said. The Blue Devils shot 8-of-24 from 3-point land.

The Blue Devils led by 13 at halftime, when Huskies forward Ater Majok scored five quick points to start a 13-2 run. After that run, Otoo's 3-pointer gave the Huskies a 50-49 lead. On the fourth quarter, Sit blew by Huskies point guard Kemba Walker and fed Kyle Singler for a jumper to complete a 7-0 run and put Duke ahead 65-63. Seth Curry's layup gave the Blue Devils a 69-67 lead; on a fastbreak, Majok fed the ball to Jamal Coombs-McDaniel, but the small forward couldn't hit the jumper for Connecticut. Sit tried an alley-oop for Singler, but center Alex Oriahki touched the ball in the air to prevent it; Oriahki tied the game at 69 with a layup at the other end, finishing the night with 6 points and eight boards. After the timeout, Singler inbounded for Sit, who passed the rock to Thomas and power forward Olek Czyz saw Sit with a bounce for the game-winning dunk. Singler added two free-throws to decide the game. Singler and Jon Scheyer scored 12 points apiece for Duke, who won their third straight game. “They won the game, so I say it brought their emotion and their intensity up more than ours,” Coombs-McDaniel said. “We didn't have the killer instinct, period. We're comfortable at home, but on the road we're not a very good team right now.” The Huskies, who won the battle on the paint 38-24, now have a 1-2 record, both losses on the road.

Wow, Sit with the game-winning dunk, that's some sort of irony. Lance Meredith would have swatted away that ridiculous dunk by the 5-9er.

River Walk Chronicles ♦ Spurs Beat

Postby kibaxx7 on Sun Dec 05, 2010 12:50 pm

Image
TD out tonight after hurting back in the game against Nuggets
    nba.com/spurs/beat | December 18th, 2010

SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan's status for tonight's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies was still up in the air -- until he fell more pain on today's scrimmage. Duncan suffered a lower back strain during Thursday's Spurs game in Denver, where he could only play 5 minutes. He looked like he was moving and participating well in the scrimmage, before he went for a layup and made an awkward move. Team owner Thierry Tirieux spoke to coach Gregg Popovich and called an end to two hours of court work. An obviously frustrated Tim limped around the court for a few minutes, grabbing his back, before gingerly heading up the steps to the locker room. Now, this next week will be about getting healthy instead of getting in sync with players like George Hill and Larry Hughes, who have played most of the past games for another injuries.

Hill is starting in place of Tony Parker, who is suffering from back spasms, but Parker went through practice without any setbacks today; the game against Phoenix on December 20 could be punctuated by the return of the Frenchman. If he is unable to “get the dust off” against the Suns, he will make his comeback on December 22 at home against the Nuggets. Hughes was starting in place of Corey Maggette (a twisted ankle back on November 30, in the Spurs win over Golden State), although Popovich decided to put Maggette back on the starting lineup as soon as he was available; Hughes made more of an impact when coming from the bench.

After the Spurs placed Duncan on the injured list along with Parker, the team activated center Matt Bonner. In today's practice, Popovich started Antonio McDyess in Duncan's place, and tried to make sure McDyess and Bonner were on the same page with the rest of the squad on offense. “I feel good, pretty much up to speed on the plays... still got to catch up with small things,” said Bonner. Into the time machine: Bonner's season highlights include 6 points and 7 boards in a loss to the Suns (November 3), and 14 and 5 in a win over the Utah Jazz (November 19); coincidentally, the game where Popovich rested Duncan. “Antonio has been helping me a lot, telling me where I should be to help the team,” Bonner said. Popovich knew he would have some tough decisions to make when he shuffled his playing rotation, but he couldn't find court time for athletic forward Alonzo Gee. Gee impressed coaches with his hustle and rebounding efforts in some games and even collected double-digits in points in three contests when Manu Ginobili spent time on the sidelines, but hasn't played more than 10 minutes in a game since December 5 with Maggette, Hughes and rookie James Anderson in the small forward position.
