So I'm getting this damn "Bandwidth Exceeded" message... this is the only reason why I didn't want to use Photobucket, but with ImageShack starting to work like shite lately, I didn't have any option. All 37 pages are going nuts... F*CK  Anyone has a good image hosting site without these restrictions?

Thank GOD the Lakers didn't win here. It would've felt like all your efforts on your best story would've gone to waste with them winning the championship. Better the Heat than the Lakers, lesser of two evils. :)

As for photobucket, all I remember is that they had maintenance yesterday when I was trying to upload one last image for my Dallas-Minnesota update. It did say there was unlimited bandwidth, and my pics aren't gone like yours. :? Is there a way to contact photobucket?

I need a backup for Manu, first of all. Then I'm adding two big bodies in Gist and Cousin, to give Blair, Splitter, Gooden and Duncan more rest.

So, with all this Shitbucket fiasco, I've been today and yesterday editing all 38 pages again... Props to George for the Imgur recommendation, works like a charm. :) Got a test in the coming days, I'll try to post an update tomorrow, but it's unlikely; after that, OFFSEASON KICKING OFF!

imgur is awesome...but just keep in mind that finding old photos is hard

cuz imgur is like a place to display photos in their own little network
so u can only view (through the basic interface) 250 photos at a time...dont worry old photos stay, they are not deleted...but searching through the archives is almost impossible

u can sort old to new and new to old and find those photos easy...but the ones in the middle...good luck

as long as u keep the link posted on ur thread u can always access it via direct link

...oh and .png and resizing on photoshop before upload is probably the best method to get the best quality (i dont like imgur's conversion techniques)

I've been reading the tail end of this one as I've become a frequent visitor to this forum the past couple weeks. I see you're an 82 gamer like myself. Tip of the hat.

I guess it's a heartbreaker to lose Game 7, but considering HOW you lost... I mean, if this series was real, wouldn't it be considered one of the greatest finals finishes EVER, if not the best of all time?

When I've been a part of a game like that, I just love the hell out of it. Feels so amazing. Then again I've won those series. Maybe the pain of losing would feel just as realistic.

River Walk Chronicles ♦ Season Review (PGs)

2010/11 Season Review :: The Point Guards
    nba.com/spurs/beat | June 20th, 2011

Image
Image

Image

NBA experience: Ten seasons, all with San Antonio (2001-02 :: 2010-11)
    Age: 29
How the Spurs roster was built: First round pick in 2001 NBA Draft, 28th overall selection
    Games played (starts): 74 (74)
    Statistical averages: 12.9 points, 2.2 rebounds (career-low), 8.1 assists (career-high), 1.7 steals (career-high), .435 FG%, .364 3PT%, .903 FT%, 30.5 minutes

What went right: Tony was more than effective running the Spurs' offensive side, with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.89. But he had his moments on the defensive end, too: in a win over Phoenix on April 3, he came away with six thefts, tying another career-best, and finished the season 22nd in the league in steals at 1.7 per contest. Also, with two promising young point guards that assumed the role of backup with ease, TP played less minutes than usual and still was one of the best players in the team. George Hill was his backup, and in do-or-die situations, coach Gregg Popovich relied on Manu Ginobili to handle the ball.

What went wrong: In the postseason, Parker had to remain on the floor and received his share of criticism for his shooting (his worst scoring average and field goal percentage since his rookie season), making 43.5 percent of his shots. He also, at times, struggled to contain quicker point guards like Russell Westbrook or Deron Williams. Not to mention his suspension back in February, after a fist-fight with Nets guard Jordan Farmar; he missed three games and returned in time to defeat, at that time, the league-best Miami Heat. He spent a large chunk of the season fielding questions from reporters about his contractual status, and one could say that affected him when he was in uniform.

Best games: Tony provided some of the best impressive individual performances by a Spur this season, with a triple-double in the playoffs and 17 (yes, 17) double-doubles. As always, there were multiple instances to choose from; we proceed with some of the most eye-popping: 19 points and ten assists in a win over New Orleans in November; tied his career-high of 15 assists on February 9 at Toronto; 14 points, eight rebounds, 13 assists and four steals to defeat Charlotte in March; just six days later, 17 points, four rebounds and 11 assists, to go with four steals, in a victory against Portland; 17 points, six boards and 13 assists in a win over Atlanta back in April; and a triple-double when it mattered the most, in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers: 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Offseason projects: Last April, Parker and the Spurs (finally) agreed to a four-year contract extension that kicks in next season and runs through the 2014-15 campaign. Since teams are going to continue giving him open looks, he'll have to work on his jumper and develop more pull-up skills. The title-contending window is closing for this team each season, and Tony wants one more ring before he calls it a day.

NBA experience: Three seasons, all with San Antonio (2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11)
    Age: 25
How the Spurs roster was built: First round pick in 2008 NBA Draft, 26th overall selection
    Games played (starts): 82 (10)
    Statistical averages: 6.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists (career-high), 1.0 steals (career-high), .422 FG%, .364 3PT%, .820 FT%, 18.6 minutes

What went right: George played so effectively as a backup to Parker, that it enabled the team to deal Garrett Temple to Milwaukee, in the exchange that brought Drew Gooden for a second stint with the Spurs. For the first time in his career, he played all 82 games and had three double-doubles, blowing people away with his versatility and dunking ability. His minutes and role fluctuated constantly, but he averaged 12.8 points and 6.8 assists over a five-game stint in January, posting several victories for San Antonio, over Portland, Golden State and New Orleans.

What went wrong: You could say he regressed from his 2009-10 season (a career-high 12.4 points per game), but with Parker's improved court vision, Hill played less minutes and still found his way for a 5.4 assists per game (second only to Parker) and a career-high 1.0 steals. The deal is, he had a career-best 2.0 turnovers despite playing this limited playing time. Coach Popovich emphasized the importance of Hill becoming more adept at running the team’s offense. The coach said Hill has a full-speed-ahead approach as the playmaker; that he has to learn to slow down and have a change of pace. Throughout his NBA career, he has been known as an offensive sparkplug, more of a shooting guard, who can put up points in bunches. His ability to become more of a conventional PG would greatly impact how other team executives view his value, in case he decides to test free agency next year.

Best games: In mid December, Parker went down with back spasms in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers and George took the reigns; only four days later, he scored a team-high 22 points as the Spurs defeated Denver, led by Manu Ginobili's triple-double. Against Washington, in the last days of December, had only six points but a career-high 12 assists. On March, had a new career-best 14 assists in a win at Cleveland. But his best game of the season came on January 24: the fearless shooter helped the Spurs defeat the Golden State Warriors, unleashing his offensive arsenal by scoring a season-high 24 points, to go with nine assists, in only 21 minutes.

Offseason projects: Hill enters his contract year in 2011-12, and will play with his guts. He has targeted a few specific areas for improvement: his in-between game, including integrating floaters and tear drops, so that he does not always have to drive all the way to the basket. He wants to improve his decision-making in terms of when to attack the rim. Another objective for George will be to cut his turnovers; he had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.70 this year. He agrees that some of the turnovers are unavoidable, but that he will focus on being more efficient next season.

NBA experience: Five seasons; three with Miami (2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09); one with New Jersey (2009-10) and one with San Antonio (2010-11)
    Age: 27
How the Spurs roster was built: Signed as a free agent on February 26, 2011
    Games played (starts): 8 (0)
    Statistical averages: 2.3 points, 0.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists (career-high), 1.1 steals (career-high), .353 FG%, 1.000 3PT% (2/2), 1.000 FT% (4/4), 9.3 minutes

What went right: After Parker was suspended with his fight with Farmar, Quinn was signed to a 10-day contract by the Spurs. In his first game (a win against Memphis) made an impact in only nine minutes: three points, two rebounds and three assists. But after Parker came back, he didn't have many opportunities to showcase his talents; there wasn’t much room on the roster for him to receive playing time. Quinn would have to scratch for any opportunity to contribute, for example, foul trouble for Parker or Hill. When that happened, he didn't disappoint and was signed for the rest of the season in March.

What went wrong: Quinn was part of the rotation until the end of the regular season. But with Parker, Hill and Ginobili sharing the playmaking duties, he didn't log a single minute in the playoffs. If he comes back next year, Popovich told him that he will be given a fair shot at earning the backup point guard job. To do so, he will have to beat out Hill, a difficult task to say the least. However, Hill has an expiring deal, which -- if used as trade bait -- would pave the way for Quinn to take over as second-string point guard behind Parker. But, let's be honest, that won't happen.

Best games: Chris had his best all-around game with five points and seven dimes in a loss to Memphis. The very next day, he posted a 10-assist outing at Cleveland, his most important contribution... but he remained scoreless. When the calendar marked the last days of April and the first nights of May, he logged 13 DNPs in a row, all in the postseason. He played almost exclusively in garbage time, a total of 74 minutes in eight contests.

Offseason projects: The Spurs are expected to have three point guards back next season, although is not known if Quinn will return. In that case, the Spurs might seek an insurance addition at the position in free agency or in the NBA Draft with their second-round pick.

Gotta agree. It was a great series, down to the very last minute, but it wasn't meant to be for me.
