BUMPAGE!

We beat the Clippers today in our preseason opener, i didnt catch the game but by the looks of it Von Wafer and Camby led the charge, Wafer looks like a great signing and possibly could develop into a handy player especially with guidance from Allen Iverson.

Disappointing was Smith 0-7 from 3pt land is pretty poor to say hes our number 1 shooter. I'd like to see improvement from him before the season commences, all in all the team is looking pretty promising and we might have a pretty solid season ahead of us.

Cant wait to see how K-mart goes in his first game, sounds like hes really committed to coming back Amare style, i sure hope so cause he would just strengthen our big men unit which looks like potentially one of the best in the league.

Poor performance by Al Thornton

As for Kenyon, I doubt he will average above 15/10 this season.

There's a rumor that smith will go to detroit for murray but many things still might be done before this trade happens. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post ... =nba,49843

The questions over Smith's attitude and behaviour aside, that's not a bad deal for the Pistons. A bit of a waste though, since I can't imagine Smith would see much court time with Hamilton in the backcourt.

Playing T-Wolves atm and playing fairly average at that, down by 3 at the end of the 3rd, here's a League Pass link if anyone wants to watch...

Shows how inexperienced the T-Wolves are. Can't get anything wrong down the stretch, but Minny missed a bunch of shots, even though they led by 13 at some point. Mike Wilks surprisingly scored 8 (y)

k i'll take that back, we just came back from being down 25 to Indy and won. We finally started playing good D in the second half, and Pacers shot only 26% fg in the 2nd half, nice win.

Yeah that was one strange and boring game...
But were on a 4 game streak cause where sharing the offense and where playing some D. Melo is definitely trying much harder, especially 1-1, he's been good at times

This thread needs a bump we just beat the Hornets which i didnt manage to catch but it looked like a pretty average display from the Nuggets especially with Melo shooting 10-28???!!! thats very poor for his standards. Anyhow we got the win and we are looking quite solid, Iverson has been the best player for the Nuggets this season i would have to say, I hope he stays on board after this season with us and we can bring him that ring he always wanted!

On the subject of Kenyon Martin ill have to say he is playing extremely well to say hes had two major knee surgeries, the stats might say otherwise but he looks to have matured as a player, meaning not demanding shots or taking stupid ones for that matter but hes just playing hard and doing the things that need to be done. Well done Kenyon and i hope he can stay healthy for the rest of the season.

Yeah Melo shot 1-8 in the first qtr, that's why his FG % sucked, he played a very good last quater though...
As for AI, he and Denver have said that they are trying to get a 6 year contract happening :o

If the last few Nuggets games have indicated anything, it’s not only that Allen Iverson isn’t slowing down anytime soon, but the Nuggets will only go as far as he can take them.

If the thirty two-year old gets his wish, he’ll be in Denver powder blue until he’s nearly forty. From the Denver Post:

Nuggets guard Allen Iverson has interest in opting out of his current contract — then re-signing with Denver this summer for six years.

“That would be our wish,” said Iverson’s personal manager, Gary Moore.

Iverson, despite his small frame and ferocious playing style, is seemingly unaffected by age, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that he wants to play until his late 30’s.

The Nuggets would be wise to lock him up.

Sounds good, im not sure about 6 years tho.... i think 4 would be a more reasonable number. Anyone got any news on when Nene will return? i miss him throwing it down :D

Currently watching on cable "Spike 52's Greatest Moments in NBA History" with Bill Walton and Carmelo Anthony.
Walton is full of energy as always while Melo looks like he's stoned when he did that show.
That tandem has chemistry.

That is all.

Little update, the Nuggets are going along quite nicely with a record of 18-11 and on a 3 game win streak they are probably playing some of their best basketball right now. Nene and Chucky Atkins look to have helped straight away since their return also Melo and Iverson are playing awesome together which is very exciting, Melo is also turning into a much improved rebounded, recording 4 straight double doubles is quite impressive for a guy with a career average of 5.

Looking forward to our next game against Golden State and hopefully another solid win on the board.
