Kevin Durant Watch

If somebody wants to enter the draft and play for a good team, isn't it better to be the last pick of the lottery rather than the first? Then you'd be on a team that wasn't a total joke while still getting guaranteed money. The only reason I can think of that being first would be better is if you get significantly more money at that spot.

I'm preparing for the Celtics to somehow get the fourth pick so I can simultaneously be depressed and laugh at all the idiots who think tanking a season for a freaking 50% shot at a top-two pick is a good idea.

I don't think Durant's stock could be any higher right now, so I say he should go for it - especially since Rick Barnes isn't a very good coach.

Is the team with the worst record garunteed a top 3 pick or is it lower than that? If it is, just hope the Celtics don't drop out of the top 3 and draft Joakim Noah.

I think it could. Even if it can only go one spot higher. Think next year, the best player in college basketball for the second season with no Oden, Wright, etc to centend with in the draft. Texas has another shot at a championship and Durant wins his second player of the year award in the same amount of seasons. Mayo, Rose and Beasley are all very good, but none of them are close to reaching Durants level. Not to mention he can bulk up and basically polish up his game all while showing he's a good kid (for staying in college) and the love of the game is the thing first in his mind - not the money.

I agree with the Rick Barnes quote also. It seems all Texas ever does is either:

Let Durant do what he does best

Get Abrams coming off screens and spotting up

Have DJ drive to the hoop and either score or dish

I barely saw any set plays in most of the Lonhorns games I watched

Kevin Durant Expected To Declare Next Week

Well, I have mixed feelings, but either way I couldn't wait to see him in the NBA. Sucks for Horns fans like myself, but I will be closely following him in the NBA. Hopefully his complete domination of the College level at just 18 translates well over to the NBA. I can't think of who's uni I would like to see him in, but when the lottery balls drop we should have a fair idea.

I hope he does good in the NBA, to me he will be like Melo, with an immediate impact in the NBA and having a great rookie year and just keep improving after each year like Anthony has done. Also it will be exciting to see him match up with some of the superstars hes been compared to like T-Mac and KG, also i think him and Lebron would be a great game to watch. 2008 is gonna be an exciting year for basketball.
