Ray Allen of the Seattle SuperSonics and Mehmet Okur of the Utah Jazz have been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern as a replacements for injured West All-Stars Allen Iverson (ankle) of the Denver Nuggets and Steve Nash (shoulder) of the Phoenix Suns for the 2007 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 18 in Las Vegas.
Chris Paul of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets will replace Nash in the Playstation Skills Challenge.

Five players (Ewing and Mourning in the East, Shaq, Barkley and Drexler in the West) ended up pulling out of that one due to injury.

See that shows how much you know. Deron Williams can't compare to Ray Allen. Deron has Okur and Boozer and AK to help him out. Just because somebody is drastically better or up and coming doesn't mean they're as good as the elite players in the league.

The season started out with an unusual amount of injuries as well.
I wonder if it's just a freak year or is the NBA's more up tempo style wearing down players more or what.
It seems like almost every important game is decided by whoever has a fully healthy squad or not. Sure the Bulls beat Phoenix...with Nash & Diaw out.

If it was not for Williams the jazz would not have this many wins. He is also kind of the reason Okur and Boozer are having a good year. I think Allen and Okur were good replacments. They should of replaced Boozer or Yao with Okur in the first place, becasue the jazz deserve to have a player in the all star game.

I think Kidd deserves to be back on the All-Star Roster.
