Yes, but he's currently a run-wild shooting guard. He's got the potential to settle down and start being a play-maker (heck, a lot of people do), but there isn't much of a chance of that happening, especially when you have less play-maker oriented guards in Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford and Marbury on the team. Robinson needs to keep his mouth shut and his head screwed on straight, and judging by the looks of things he'll need someone to guide him in that direction.
Marbury is a good passer, but not a playmaker. He's been known to be a very offensive minded player that will try to dominate the ball even if he does collect a bunch of assists and I think thats why there is always the debate as to whether or not he's a "passing" point guard or not.

Marbury has asked to move from point guard to shooting guard, the New York Daily News reported
"He told me he wanted to play off guard," Brown was quoted as saying in the newspaper. "Well, it's not that easy right now. What, are we going to invent a point guard?
"He told me he wanted to play like the way I used Allen [in Philadelphia]. Well, I had Eric Snow, Larry Hughes, Aaron McKie. It's a little different now."
Define what is a good passer and a playmaker and maybe we can have this discussion.
Yes, he is offensive minded, that's because he is a very talented scorer. Name 3 PG's in the league that is as talented on offense than Stephon yet can still manage to average 8 assists for a career. C'mon. Amuse me.

Marbury could average 9 or 10 assist.. allys to Francis and Nate, Frye and that money J, there is HOPE!!
...hope at getting swept in the first round.
It is shown recently that not too many point guards can score a bunch of points and still get all 4 other guys on the court involved.
good passer = most of the pgs in the league
playmaker = steve nash, jason kidd
