the Lakers had a lot of good seasons under Pat Riley during the Showtime era..consistent 50+ win team. they also had a 67-15 record during the 1999-2000 season=the 1st of the 3peat

Good post, but I think New Orleans/Charlottes best season was in 2001 when they were one game away from the conference finals. In 97 they were swept out of the playoffs.

I'd say this season could turn out to be the Mavericks' finest, also I'd rate this season better than last year for the Clippers, seeing as though it's their best record since they were the Buffalo Braves, slightly ahead of their 1992 season.

nothing really compares to the Bulls season, the best record in history and they had so many great players. Everything fell together that year. They're better than the Mariners 116 win season in 2001 (after the 9/11 break they were never the same which is why they ended up losing in the playoffs).....

IMO the 72-10 bulls are the best team in history besides maybe the undefeated miami dolphins. You just cant top the ability of that team. Pippen was probably one of the top 5 Guys in the NBA at that time, and then Jordan was obviously number 1.

Help me on this guys... I need more ideas. I wanna make a roster that are composed of the best season for each team.

Ah ok. I'll do mine:
Atlanta: 87/88. This team pushed pushed the celtics to 7 games in the conference semis.
Charlotte: Like it matters
Dallas: 2002/2003. Won 60 + games, made the conference finals and pushed the spurs despite massive injuries.
Cavs: 1992. Conference finalists and won a couple of games against the bulls
Denver: 1994. Team full of characters that were one game away from the conference finals
Golden State: 1975, their championship season
Indiana: 2000, their nba finalist season with miller, rose, Dale davis all playing at a high level.
Clippers: This season
Grizzlies: 2004 season
Miami: Last season
Milwalkee: 1970, championship season with kareem and oscar
Minnesota: 2004
New Jersey: 2003
New Orleans/ Charloote: 2001, one game away from the conference finals
Knicks: 1970, willis reed
Orlando: 1995, NBA Finalist
Pheonix: 1993, nba finalists
Portland: 1992, nba finalists
Sacramento: 2002, one game away from the championship (sorry nets fans
San Antonio: 2003, beat the lakers and won the championship
Seattle: 1996, nba finalists
Toronto: 2001, one game from the conference finals
Utah: 1997 or 1998, very close to the championship
Wizards:1997, as bullets they pushed the bulls in 3 close games and are much better then this current wizards team.

- jordan won all star game mvp, regular season mvp, finals mvp (he did this once more in 1998)

just a great team. i have the dynasty dvd set of the bulls, what they did was remarkable. i can't believe they got 72-10 with a bench like theirs, lol

Toronto 2000-2001... man I loved that season. Carter fluked the last shot on Philly so nothing has changed and what about Lakers' playoff run? Lost only one game, against Philly in the phinals

The Pacers best season was 97-98.

We were good in 2000, but that was by far the most fun I've ever had watching the Pacers that year. We almost knocked off the Bulls in the ECF, and we're the toughest playoff test the bulls championship teams ever faced.

IMO i think Chicago's best team was the 91-92 team (the 2nd Championship team in the first 3-peat)

after winning their first title, the team came back even more assertive and mentally tough. Jordan, Pip, and Grant were still young and the best athletes in their respective positions. They had that killer doberman defense and one of the best, if not the best, transition offenses in the league. Cartwright was old but he always received the benefit of the calls with those sharp elbows.

that team had a great combination of athleticism, youth, skill, and smarts.
