And yet it is not on the front page or on any other websites. You would think it would be all over the place if Kevin Garnett demanded to be traded.

Allen Iverson? Yeah, trade the biggest team player for the biggest cancer. Great move.

ahhh the rumor has finally surfaced. lol took it long enough. what was it- 3 weeks into the postseason? this is just the start

i don't think anything is happening.. at least until the draft order is established haha

KG to Chicago:
Would be nice but I don't think the Bulls can free enough salary space. A trade Chandler + Deng would not succeed as the salarys don't match at all. Also I think the Wolves may insist on involving Gordon or Hinrich in the trade.

Feel free to question everything I wrote ;)

i'm not sure where you got your information but the Bulls should have around $15mil in cap space this offseason

Kevin Garnett will not be traded this season at all, period. Maybe next season if the team fails to make the postseason again but Garnett has already said he will be back next season. The owner, Glen Taylor, has said that Garnett will have imput on player personal decisions and they will try to add more veterans to help Garnett out in the leadership role.

Garnett isn't frustrated enough where he would demand a trade from Minnesota this season. He understands what is happening and he said it is a rebuilding process that will take a little time to get out of. They are now going to try to excelerate that process this summer.

Trust me...there is no chance at all that Garnett is dealt this summer. It wouldn't make any sense for the franchise or for Garnett personally.

Not make sense for KG? He's playing for average reboulding team while in his prime and has 0% chances of winning anything with this team..I think getting traded to a better team makes perfect sense for him, don't you?

How is a better team going to trade for him while remaining better? You'll have to give up a lot to get Garnett and your situation will become similar to the Timberwolves current one. There is no way Garnett goes to the Heat without Wade or Shaq leaving and there is no way Garnett goes to the Spurs without Parker, Ginobili, Duncan leaving. He really won't be put onto a better situation.

Plus, he doesn't want to leave Minnesota. If you think Garnett looks depressed now wait until he is traded out of Minnesota. He loves this state and the fans and he wants us fans to look at him as a Minnesota icon like his mentor, Kirby Puckett, is. Garnett has said this a thousand times but he always must repeat it, he is staying and if he leaves he will consider himself a coward. Garnett is not the kind of person who will allow himself to be called a coward or a loser. His wife loves it here, he loves it here and he is committed to making this situation work.

He could be put into a better situation if he goes to Chicago, L.A. Lakers, or Seattle, but thats about it.

Totally agree with SilasDC. He would be in a better situation in Chicago, L.A, Seattle or New York. But I think for him the best move would be to join the Bulls.

Can you tell me how New York minus whoever they would give up would be better than the Timberwolves?

Plus, Garnett won't go to New York because he doesn't like New York.

What if they tried to bring in Steph?

KG mentioned at one point that he'd like that.

Wolves owner Glen Taylor has said that he plans on making a run for Stephon Marbury or Allen Iverson.

its my opinion that these rumors tend to start when a player says something along the lines of "if you refuse to give me a winning team then why dont you just trade me". next thing you know the player is called a crybaby or asshole or what have you and everyone in the world starts to think up possibilities of how said player can land on this team.

Normally players whining for a trade are looked down upon but here KG seriously should get a trade or a sign that the organization is still committed to building around him. I mean....being benched in the late minutes of a game after putting up nearly 20-10 and then tanking on purpose in the worst way possible. It showed no respect to him for all he's done.

@Riot
You can't look over the fact that NY has great players (besides two real cancers). And you'll never know when they start to click.

Who are these so-called "great" players?

NJNetsFan, I believe Kevin Garnett told Dwane Casey that you either play him 40 minutes or don't play him at all. After Casey only played him 25 minutes the next day his knees were extremely sore and I think the team decided just to shut him down.

Well, despite of their lack of teamplay. Marbury and Francis are still decent players. Crawford, Richardson and Rose can put up solid numbers if they have the chance (maybe without Marbury and Francis). Frye has a lot of potential, Lee can be a mediocre Forward in the next years and also Nate Robinson may turn out as being a good PG (not sure about him, I haven't seen him playing often). When It comes to Eddie Curry I don't believe he will have a breakout ever.

So to summarize it:
NY has two stars who can't be involved in team-play.
A couple of promising youngsters.
And a mediocre bench.

But as you said, KG does not like NY, so that could be a huge factor if he really wants to be traded. But I hope honestly that he will stay in Minnesota and they can acquire a great PG.

The fact that NY sucked this season does not mean that the players are really bad.
