Elizabethtown. Bad Garden State clone.

watched wicker park, even though i know it got a bad rap i really enjoyed it. i think i'll buy the dvd. the soundtrack is awesome... if you liked the garden state soundtrack, the wicker park one is definietely for you. its not a great movie, but the cinematography and directing really remind me of mine, so of course i like it. the script is decent, but i think i got more involved in the visuals and music.... and diane kruger :D

Jackal wrote:Well, I just came back from watching Hostel. Simply put, that was an amazingly fucked up movie. Not fucked in a bad way, fucked in the most awesome possible way. Ever.

In my own words, that was freezingly cool.

Can't say I haven't thought of pulling some of those stunts myself on a few individuals I've come across in life.

If you can, watch it on the bigscreen, it'll add a lot more than watching it on DVD.

Hmm, I never though it was that good. Maybe I was having a bad day cuz everybody else I went with thought it was good and now you do also. Oh well.

After watching both Rush Hours on TBS for like the 20th time... it still makes me laugh. Chris Tucker is hilarious...

Anyways... Have any of you seen the greatest movie of all time? I mean 'The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl'! That movie was awesome! :?

some movies i watched this week:

just friends - pretty fucking hilarious. ryan reynolds is probably one of my favourite comedic actors, he doesn't push anything, he's pretty subtle.

waiting - again with ryan reynolds. pretty good movie, but i liked just friends more.

mom: do you practice safe sex?
ryan: what..? of course i do.
ryan: ... i pull out. *continues eating*

the cock showing game they play is pretty hilarious too

walk the line - see my 'walk the line' appreciation post. acting at its finest right here

thirteen - actually had to watch this movie because i got to write a paper about it, relating it to some theory. but it's pretty good for a teen flick. it's really dark, and creepy at times. just illustrates that a lot of 13 year old teenagers are fucked up.

lords of dogtown - great movie. was kinda skeptical at first, but i was blown away. emile hirsch is a pretty darn good actor. nikki reed is

elizabethtown - don't watch it. lol

I watched Hostel at the movies and it's pretty stupid. It's quasi-original, but very ineffective as a horror movie. What, you showed me blood that should scare the living shit out of me? So fucking what? Like I said, a good idea, but poorly realized.

Anyone going to a movie to be scared should be shot. A movie can not scare you, it's not possible. Given we've seen so many "horror" movies, we hype movies up in our head way more than anything we'll ever witness on a movie screen.

The point of Hostel wasn't to scare you, atleast that's not the idea I went to the movies with. The point of the movie, for me, was for me to be entertained. I saw guts, I saw tits & I saw a chick being run over in terrific fashion. I was amused.

I laughed my ass off at the little kids with bubblegum & I swear my stomach turned out of delight when I saw the oozing white stuff from the cut off eyeball.

Really, going to watch a movie to be "scared" is so not happening ever again. We've seen almost everything, with real life being such a fucking horror story, why do you need to see it re-enacted on a movie screen?

A succesfull movie to me is a movie which has the ability to amuse me.

Besides, it had tits, blood, blood & tits. They even threw in a bit of drugs into the mix, what's not to like?

It's simply a stupid movie. You'd be better off spending that money on a lap dance and a line of coke. And cut your own fucking wrists, if you're thirsty of blood, you Dutch bastard. Characters were stupid, plot development was stupid and half of the tits were plain ugly. I liked that Russian bitch, though. And the redhead in the lobby, behind the desk. But I wouldn't spend money to see Slovanian girl, if I can do that and much, much more in person. But then again, if a bad 'horror' movies amuse you that much, go ahead. I'm sticking with my zombie flick collection.

Goes to show you've never had a lap dance nor have you ever snorted a line of coke. Then again, your faggot ass won't even be let in to a strip tent, midget.

A line of coke costs you a lot more than €8.75, just take my word for that one. Characters were indeed stupid, I'll give you that, but do tell me what you were looking for? An Alfred Hitchcock-esque movie with indepth characters?

Tits are tits, ugly or not, they are tits. But as I said, your fag ass can't really appreciate any sort of boobs unless they are man boobs, no?

No one asked you to spend your money on a Slovenain girl? Where did you get that from? I just said I liked it because it was gory & it had tits.

Again, it was far from a horror movie, you were just expecting to pee yourself, which wasn't the case. That's the only reason you're this let down, had you gone in with zero expectations, you would of laughed a bit & gone home. You were expecting to be screaming like a little bitch, that is what I gathered from your "oh iw asn't a wee bit scared".

Go jack off to Val Kilmer's bare chested scenes in Top Gun, you Tom Cruise faggot look-alike. Better yet, go jump around on mom's couch.

There, my daily dosage of steam, I could be fucked whether you liked the movie or not. I just got agitated at the fact you called me Dutch, bitch.

I just watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and...no real head or tail to it, funny but as I said, no real head or tail to it.

The chick is pretty though, Downey acted well & Kilmer as a fag fits right in.

Anyways I have no plans on seeing Hostel. Despite Jackal's rantings, it looks garbage. Besides, my brother said it was awesome and he's a complete retard so I'm going to continue my streak of not listening to anything he ever says, ever.

I just watched two Natalie Portman movies. [hehe, by choice]

Closer and The Garden State.

I won't lie -- they were pretty damn good.
