I, for one, am very disappointed in SA. That's the kind of game a championship team wins.
I have no faith in the Nets....here's why...
Mutombo got away with a goaltend on game-tying three by Ginobili
They should've swept New Jersey
Are you kidding me! It would have barely hit the bottom of the net, the ball was (as I recall) already level with the rim a foot away when it got grabbed.Ben wrote:Mutombo got away with a goaltend on game-tying three by Ginobili
If there was a reason for Ginobli's shot for falling short, it was K-Mart barely hitting his hand...and I mean barely...I think Manu just choked, that was a great look he had...
I still think the Spurs will win the series, as much as I'd love to see an East team win the championship, I just don't see it happening...like Ben said, the Nets almost lost when they held the Spurs under 30% shooting and four key players well below their averages....

had they kept KVH and T-Mac...and added Rogers and Childs I would then concede that they could compete with New Orleans on paper

I think New Orleans has the team chemistry to use their amazing depth...even with probably the most overrated PG in the game...[Emphasis Added]

the odds are against the Nets...The Bulls, Knicks, Pacers and Sixers all failed to post a near repeat performance...and the Pacers, Sixers (well...since 1983 but those years were so bad it makes up for it...) and Nets made the Finals for the first time in the NBA...which following that trend says...it's all Hornets this year...

Wizards have what it takes to win the East if the Nets don't.
