Paul Pierce 50 points baby

Are you talking about Paul Pierce's playoff career?

No, but I agree. Paul Pierce has been a maniac in the playoffs. Who could ever forget game 3 of the 2002 ECF, when he absolutely manhandled the entire Nets team in the fourth quarter.
Bryant hasn't made it to the playoffs without Shaq yet, we'll see how Kobe does solo this year (maybe).

It's only been one season though, and in a tougher western conference. Lebron has been in the league for 2 seasons.

Well, I just wanna say one thing.

Paul Pierce for MVP byatches.

Oh and one more thing.

Why does every one think Vince Carter is better then Paul Pierce? GIVE ME A BREAK. Wow, he has mad ups and he makes some crazy ass layups. Paul Pierce is a better rebounder, a better long distance shooter, a better free throw shooter, a MUCH better defender, a decent blocker, and most of all, Paul Pierce has a tremendous amount of stamina. He can play 5 overtimes and have just about full energy.

Vince Carter is a wussy and gets injured all the time. Paul Pierce averages 80 games a year, and doesn't complain about anything anymore. All he cares about is winning.

VC cares about stats..that pansy. Never went to practice on the raptors because he wanted to get traded.

Read everything else I said...and he really is a better overall player. There is no question. Vince is just a lot more fun to watch.

Vince is a better shooter in my opinion, but Vince takes a lot of bad shots, and avoids driving in the lane..
Pierce on the other hand, these 2 seasons, hes taking good shots mostly and tough drives..
Pierce is a better rebounder, defender, smarter player, and a better leader
Vince is a a little more accurate outside shooter, better dunker, and maybe better passer...
But Vince never goes in strong, nor does he take good shots that often

Anywayz, If Celtics were 32-20, Pierce is the MVP

DaTruth..you seem to be a bigger fanb0y for paul peirce than i am for lebron. I hope to one day reach your legendary fanb0y status...

My original point was..not only did lebron play a better overall game than anyone else in the league that night..but he won the game for his team despite his general lack of clutch. Not to mention he played much better defence that people say he's capable of. End of story.

Paul Pierce is a MUCH better passer than vince carter is. THere's no question.

And, yes, if the celtics had a better record, paul pierce would have a great chance of being mvp;.

ok i love pierce as much as the next guy but you are sounding way too fanboyish now, you need to actually step back and look at things from a non fanboy point of view. i mean pierce is doing good but throwing out mvp is just dumb

No no. Well, what can I say? I'm the biggest Paul Pierce fan there is.

But hey, if the celtics were a winning team, he would be an mvp candidate. You really need to watch everything he does. It's the little things that counts.

I loved how in this game when LBJ accidentally rammed his knee into the back of Eric Snow's head everybody was looking at his knee while Snow was lying unconcscious.

It seems like EVERYONE is anti Celtic. Reggie miller doesnt like Pierce. Saying he didnt deserve the All-Star game at all and Prince shouldve gotten it over him...yea right.

David Stern isnt a celtics fan

Alot of ESPN people and people like that dont like the Cs

Pierce is unbelievable. It SUCKS he has to play for a shitty team. Hes very underrated. He takes like 18 shots per game and averages 26.4ppg and 7rpg. Hes shooting at 47.5%

I know LeBrons good, but hes a baby. If he doesnt get a call he wants he starts to cry  I dont like him at all.

Its amazing how Pierce is "still underrated" but you can tell the coaches voted for him, and there is a resaon for that.. those guys know basketball... and i'm not sure ESPN ppl or reggie are nearly as smart as the nba coaching staffs

Pierce just lacks a little bit of quickness, and hes not a world class athlete like Wade, Lebron, Tmac, Kobe, .. Doesn't have as accurate of a shot like Ray Allen, Redd..
Doesn't play D like Artest, Bowen

But i think he is an underrated defender.. A good enough shooter, fast enough, quick enough, strong enough.. I like him a lot, i don't think he has the upsides of the Wade, Lebron and them.. thats why is he "underrated"

He's a good shooter, a very aware defender, and actually he is underrated. The coaches were thinking about trading him, and like a couple weeks ago it was all over nba tv, and they occasionally talk about it every now and then.

Like, that retarted italian guy from new york who thinks vince carter is god. His name is like Peter something. That guy on nba tv underrates the CRAP outa Pierce, and so does SportCenter and tv commentators. I mean, in a couple of years, the celtics are gonna be incredible.

C'mon now. Look at their bench. Al Jefferson, GERALD GREEN, Tony Allen, DELONTE WEST (well he starts now but he's amazing), Kendric Perkins who had 20 rebounds the other day, and Orien Greene. They'll be a championship calibur team in years to come, but for now, they need to keep Paul Pierce, because he's tremendously talented team leader, and he shows all of the little/young guys all of the things that they need to know.

He's almost 29, and he's kinda gettin old. Seemed like after 2003, when he stop doing crazy highflyer dunks he was outa his prime. He doesn'y drive as much as he used to, he doesn't cut as much as he used to, he doesn't have the same deadly range from beyond the ark, he isn't as quick or as fast as he used to be, but he's A LOT smarter than he used to be. And he's A LOT stronger than he used to be. Jesus christ, he never falls down, and if he does, he gets right back up, and if he gets fouled shooting he can ALWAYS keep control of the ball and put it in the hoop.

Going a little off topic here, I do think this guy underrated. Look at the All Star votes. Basically the only people he gets votes from are the people in Boston, Massachusetts.

Look at dwayne, lebron, kobe and all those guys. Everyone across the country votes for them.

I just think in order for Paul Pierce to be a little more recognized, he needs to have a winning team like he did in 2002 and just OWNED the playoffs. Some day, some time soon, the celtics will be a great team, and Paul Pierce will get all of the recognition he needs in order to be a starter for the eastern all stars, and be an mvp candidate.

50 points is always a good game, but Lebron outshined Pierce with his 40 point triple double. Pierce is one of the best in the league, but honestly I can't give him as much props as a lot of people in this thread are giving him until he becomes a better leader and motivates his team onto a good run for the 8th place spot.

How did he copy your name? You do realise "The Hurt" and "Da Truth" are four entirely different words? (or three, since "Da" isn't a word)

But the name is kinda the same.
