Arujo needs to be more agressive on offense, he needs to finish strong with like a power dunk (like how he used to in College). He also needs to work on his midrage jumpshot during the offseason or now.

Dajuan Wagner, Araujo, Sean Marks.

Marks is puttin up numbers.

You know, I thought K-Mart (kevin martin) was gonna be another Darko... but see what happens when he gets minutes.

I bet you if darko got 25 min a game for 20 games he would shape up nicely.

Wouldn't agree with you who says Darko is a bust. He didn't/don't have chance to prove himself. It's ot his fault that his in best team in the league  . However, I'm sure he would play on same level as Bogut, if not better, if he would be a starting C at Atlanta for example.

How could he play at the same level as Bogut (averaging 9/7 on a play off team) if he was starting at C for Atlanta :? Atlanta would still suck, and Darko would be lucky to remove Zaza Pachulia from the starting lineup.

Face it, he's a bust to end all busts.

He's had 2 entirely different coaches now, he's had opportunities... if he was that good he'd be getting minutes, plain and simple. Flip wouldn't bench him for no reason.

My point all along is that he never had, and still don't get real chance. I thought he was a bust, but I saw him playing at EC last year, 10-15 minutes per game, yet he was best rebounder, best blocker and he was puting some nice point number as well.

I see him being traded this season. I've heard his interiew last mid-season where he said he'll wait untill end and if he still don't get a chance, he'll ask for trade. Remember his games at the end of last season, he was pretty solid then.

Wang Zhi Zhi wasn't even drafted
Oberto wasn't drafted
Sean Marks was only drafted 44th overall
Ryan Bowen was only drafted 55th overall
Can't really call those guys busts.

I have to agree with Kwame, Wagner and Skita being busts, I'll add Olowokandi to that list as well.

Also guys like Darko, Amir Johnson and Gerald Green haven't been in the league long enough to be labeled busts, they haven't really had their chance to shine yet.

He is pretty dumb, I prrsonally find Elson horrifying as well, lol, like last night vs Dallas when he was runniong behind Andre who was dribbling and kicked the ball out of Andre's hands to get a TO, moron.

He has had a chance. The start of this season, he was getting 5-10mpg in the 2nd quarter, and played like shit. his attitude is just shithouse, and until he goes to another team i rekon its gonna stay that way

When you're talking about the worst players, I don't think busts necessarily count because many of them have shown skills at some point, they're simply not worthy of their draft position. Tyson Chandler for instance. Worth the second overall pick in 2001 and subsequently Elton Brand? No, probably not. Overpaid? Can't argue there. But he's not completely incompetent out on the court, he can play basketball. Just not as well as Bulls fans might have hoped.

The worst players in the NBA - in my opinion - can't have shown anything but potential. To be fair, they might have one skill or positive. They might have height, they might have bulk, they might be able to block shots, knock down the mid-range jumper or rebound. Maybe a couple of these. But that's it. Everywhere else, they're a liability.

agreed....you can't call these guys busts....all these guys (I don't know Oberto's game so can't comment on that) are role players and play their roles well, so how would you call them bad players....

when I saw this thread I knew all the 'knowledgeable' fans would mention Marks....Jae has already more or less covered my argument for me so I'll stick out of that one

being a joke, bust, etc is a tough label to put on any NBA player as they have reached the highest level of the game of basketball....and the fact is, it's all subjective....

when I think of bball players who are jokes, I don't think of the role players, I think of the players who have so much potential, but for whatever reason don't live up to it and squander their skills....

this is subjective, but for me, a few jokes in the NBA are:
- Antoine Walker (luved him as a rookie, then he found the 3pt line to his liking)
- Steve Francis (from Draft Day onwards, need I say more)
- Tim Thomas (just the potential factor I guess)

and the list would go on....to me, those are some of the guys who are jokes....

Wang was drafted in the 1999 draft (second round I believe). The guy has a good outside shooting but I think the was it, the guy's soft and was totally out of the rotation in a crowded Dallas lineup.[/quote]

Wang was drafted in the 2nd round

but Darko is still better than a lot of players in the league despite getting no PT on Detroit.

Examples of players that Darko is better than:
Araujo
Jackson Vroman
Malik Allen
Esteban Batista
Olowokandi
Calvin Booth
Peter John Ramos
Pavel Podkolzin
Andrew Bynum

I'd take Bynum over Darko... but either way, those guys all pretty much get as much PT as Darko. I've never seen a young player who averages like 1ppg actually REGRESS as he gets older.
