He also played 30 games with the Michigan Mayhem of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) where he averaged 15.8 points, 7.1 assists and shot .917 from the free-throw line.
“We are pleased to welcome Darrick to our team,” expressed Raptors General Manager Rob Babcock. “He gives us insurance at the point guard position and will help develop our younger players.”
The UCLA grad owns career averages of 7.8 points, 3.2 assists and 11.9 minutes in 426 games. In 23 playoff games, he has averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 assists and 12.6 minutes. While with the Timberwolves, Martin recorded a personal best of 13 assists January 19, 1996 versus San Antonio. He enjoyed his best offensive season during the 1996-97 campaign when he averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 assists in 82 games.
The former Harlem Globetrotter was named MVP of the 2003 CBA playoffs, leading the Yakima Sun Kings to a league championship. Martin is expected to be in uniform tonight for the Raptors when they play host to the Philadelphia 76ers at Air Canada Centre. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Right now, I don't really see any good big men in the free agent market.
I am STILL hoping that the Raptors will sign Marcus Haislip though.

That's the problem. I don't know how Babcock going to resolve that, but I'm betting on a blockbuster deal.
Haislip's good, I had him in my dynasty
