yeah, for a certain time, I actually thought he was with the Nuggets already

You just get that kind of a vibe from this thread... That is the kind of player that can carry you most of the way, but can't get the win in the end.
And Andrew, if you keep only one guy and blow up the rest of the team, isn't that just blowing up and starting from scratch too? Miller was there, but every other player around him has changed from the mid 90's to this date... Do you think they could have kept Miller, if he had a 20 million dollar salary??? Hell, no...
You can keep one or two players on your roster through a rebuilding phase unless you are paying them way too much money... The problem today is that you need to blow up the entire team to get under the cap and to get something done... The player salaries are so high with low-producing role-players get 8 million contracts, so you can't keep anyone basically, if you want to rebuild the team...

Well.. i wouldn't say he is a talented star that can't win.. hes won before.. he went to the conference finals.. what do you expect? Kobe can't win either.. can he? He wasn't able to do anything with the Lakers alone..
Pierce is awsome, ppl underate his defence.. I love watching him and Pacesr go at it.. Pierce vs Artest, Pierce vs Al Harrington ( back then )
Last year, he lowered his shots and he shot pretty well... He just don't have the team.. I think a lot of teams are missing a player like Pierce to make them a top team in the league, (Wolves, Nuggets)
Pair him up with another legit all-star.. you have a winner..
I mean.. After Mcgrady, Lebron, Kobe... You pretty much have Pierce up there.. can play both ends.. can hit the 3's.. Clutch... But his prime days are going to be over in like 2 years..

I know Pierce is a great player, but he's not as dominant as Kobe, TMac, LeBron, AI etc. are... Pierce is too low key and doesn't do the highlight reels... The highlight reel moves make the difference between great players and super-stars...
Basket ball is played with the heart and if your heart isn't in it, you won't win it...
