Kevin Garnett

One of the best all-around players! yes indeed! any possibility that he might be traded? I don't like seeing him in Minnesota! the team is not doing anything to get better. How many years he has in his contract? I can't wait to see him leave Minnesota.

Garnett will never leave Minnesota. He has a two-way trade clause in his contract, the owner is in love with him and his wife loves it here in Minnesota. Not to mention he's been here for 10 years and he hasn't shaken or demanded a trade yet.

There will always been trade rumors involving KG, because he is simply one of the top two players in the world, but the Wolves trading KG would be like the Pacers trading Reggie Miller. It just won't happen.

You could call Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Shaquille O'Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, Steve Francis and plenty of others were so called "franchise players" for their teams, and all of them have moved at least once. I don't think any "franchise player" is unmovable, but Kevin Garnett isn't exactly going to be leaving anytime soon. Maybe when he gets fed up and decides that he is too old and wants a ring.

Honestly, I doubt KG ever leaves Minnesota. He isn't like Payton or Malone. He doesn't want a ring just to have a ring, he wants to earn his ring. He doesn't want to ride the coatails of players in their prime to get a title. He has said this a million times "I started something in Minnesota and I'm going to finish it here". Maybe those words don't hold much value to you guys but to the state of Minnesota it's a big relief. KG trusts us and we trust him, it's been that way for 10 years. Neither has let the other down.

That's what a lot of people say, but if you aren't Minnesotan you really don't understand the connection between KG and the state. Not only that, but without KG the Wolves wouldn't make much money and the owner (Taylor) would lose a ton of sponsers.

It was a mutual agreement with the Jazz organization and Malone to part ways. Malone wanted a ring (and a sum of money to stay), but the Jazz were starting to rebuild with younger players. The Jazz couldn't be title contenders at that point and giving him a huge amount would hinder their rebuilding process. If Malone was to play for a smaller amount it might as well be in team that was a title contender such as the Lakers (then).

Not to mention Malone had his run-ins with Larry Miller in Utah pretty much throughout his career.

Many superstar guys get traded at the very end of their career for various reasons, and it's usually a mutual friendly agreement /w the team, but during the height of their career they are untouchable.

For now, KG will stay. When he's 38, he may want to go somewhere or do something different.

You also have to take the owner into account. If Cuban owned the wolves, then i'd say hell yeah, KG has a very good chance of being traded, so does anyone on the team.

I agree. A lot of Pacer fans think because we signed Saras, we are planning on trading Tinsley and JO for Garnett...

Oh yeah...at least. Tinsley+JO for Garnett would be a steal for the Pacers and a plausible trade.

I wouldn't be too sure Garnett is staying. It's easy to say your comitted to your team and the fans when you have a good team and/or enough years left to win but when time comes...

Maybe not this year but Garnett is the best nba player and he should at least be contending every year going to the conference finals or finals...last year the wolves didn't even make the playoffs.

Wolves will be back to contending this year, quote me.
