Well I was going to do a "shoutout" thread for 5,000 but I seemingly managed to make 5030 posts before I noticed I was actually past 5,000. I think I'm on about 6,010 here but you know, I may aswell do something about it since I haven't made a half decent thread in a very long time.
I'm not going to do a little NLSC play like Riot or Indy did, as good as those are I don't wanna dry out the well so to speak... so I'll just do some plain ol' shoutouts... BUT... not before some random ranting that I guarantee no one on this forum will read at all.
When I first joined this site it took me ages to really get into the whole community aspect of it. I stuck to the Franchise sections and posted my Live 98 franchise stories all the way up until Live 2000 before I stopped being cheap and actually bought the new game

So many people have come and gone in this place, it's really surprising to think back to who the regulars once were and then realize that they've either moved to .org, or got a life. Thankfully I've somewhat managed to adapt with each rush of new guys who start posting, and as of yet I'm not really in a position where my "life" takes up so much of my time that I can't actually post here anymore. Slackers. It's like 30 minutes a day and that's all, but awell, enjoy your exams and whatever else you guys are doing. For all of you who are still reading this, congratulations... you've just wasted about 5 minutes of your time... feel free to go to "Find As You Type" and search for your name in the thread somewhere. These shoutouts will be long, lengthy and boring (as Yohance might say) so bare with me and if anyone says "omg you typed alot", fuck off.
I'm not going to start slagging anyone off, it's just the internet... it's really not worth my hassle to be honest.
In no real particular order...
Matthew: It's really weird to think that the first actual interraction I had with you/Matthew (I don't know whether to do this first, second or third person

Andrew: My memory is a little foggy, but when you were first appointed webmaster/admin/god of this place I really had very little clue as to who you were. I think we even had a mini flame war not long after that happened, but it was nothing too rough and in my opinion the actual website itself hasn't been better in a long long time. I'd like to firstly thank you for taking some risks in the last 6 months or so. Appointing me as a moderator is the first thing, I know I'm a fairly questionable character and you had your reservations but they can't have been that strong if Matthew and co. managed to talk you into it

Stevan: I'm not sure where Stevan is, apparentely he's kind of outgrown the forum a bit which is a genuine shame. Stevan's always going to be one of my favourite posters and people of all time here... every single time we've talked on MSN it's always been hilarious, we're like an Australian un-funny Laurel and Hardy or something it's quite fun. The projects we've thought about in the past were always fun, like "Down With Boring Cunts"

Jowe: Ah Jowe... I've said it before but before I'd actually spoken to Jowe I thought he was a bit of a wanker. All I ever saw was "go to .org

Jackal: I pretty much liked you from the start, the way you'd aggressively argue and pretty much go against the grain almost all the time reminded me a bit of me... as worrying as that might seem. You've gone off the rails a few times and in my opinion went a bit too far with that "incident", but the way you've managed to turn it around to the point where you're a definite possibility to become a moderator is fantastic. Not many people can swallow their pride and just apologise for something they believed in, or for another matter make up with EG after all of that rubbish so good on you. I like reading your posts aswell, it's very rare that Jackal posts anything that isn't worth reading... even if they are essay size, it's cool that someone puts in the effort here and the fact that he's got over 5,000 posts just goes to show you can spam in a quality way (I mean that seriously lol). Thankfully you haven't retired, you're one of my personal favourites here.
Nick: Sort of similar to Jowe... I didn't really have an opinion either way though before I met Nick, actually, I didn't even know who he was

Ben: I like Ben. Ignoring all of this .org vs NLSC stuff, or the fact that I know absolutely nothing about American politics I actually really like Ben, whom I still refuse to call "Benji". Some of the things our little group did in the old days were fantastic, like Jim Basore's girlfriend for instance... or that certain time where we managed to obtain someones home phone number and address, then signed upto about a million different online things with it

David: Bunching the .orgers together

Dmit + Rens + Liam: I don't talk to any of you guys anymore, for no particular reason but I have alot of good memories of things we used to get upto on MSN (no, not those kind of things) all those years ago. Our "L33t N00bs" clan on Runescape will forever remain the only group of idiots who stalked another player just because she was female. Rens' teaching of the Dutch language is another thing I appreciate, and who knows, one day I might need to use that stuff... if I'm on holidays, approaching a hooker. Another couple that won't read this, but it's a shame we're not all 14 anymore.... or 12, in Liams case.
Also general "I think you're cool" shoutouts to Repole, Tony and any other guy from .org I might've missed (and whom I actually like)
The shoutouts will get a bit smaller from here, it's nearly 3am so I'm a bit tired.
Andreas: To begin with some of your idea's for the site were a little bit opposite to what I would've wanted, but since then you've really proven yourself to be an asset to the place. I'd say on workload and whatever you're the best mod we have, and the website design looks fantastic.
Shane: Not exactly a forum regular anymore, but after we initially stopped despising each other it was really nice to get to know you. The fact that we have a similar interest in writing (you write, I like reading

air gordon: One of the top 3 posters in NBA Talk, I know you don't really buy into this whole shoutout thing... and I think I gave you one for my 1,000 thread (which was about a week ago

cyanide: When I leave this place I think you should be the new GT moderator, maybe even the Global mod if you can be bothered. It's kinda funny that someone as intelligent as you managed to ignore the fact that there was a bottom half of this forum for 2 years

Matt: Matt's on holiday so he won't read this, I'll keep it short. Ignoring the whole Rip/Matt thing, which I'm still clueless about, it's cool that you've stuck around for as long as you have... even if it is to boost the knowledge of the forum wiggers.
fgrep15: We haven't really come in contact a great deal, but like air gordon you're doing a fantastic job in NBA Talk as a poster and a moderator... I think your sig making abilities (uh... if you do make them) are also highly underrated, I've never seen a sig of yours and not liked it.
Jonex: You guys are always good for a laugh... when you argue it reminds me of some old married couple for some reason

Gloveguy: Man reading some of your older posts, I'm really surprised with how you turnt out as a poster here. I mean you were a bit... well yeah we've already been over that, what's important is that you're one of the better posters here at the NLSC and hopefully someday you can find the time to be more frequent.
The GOAT: For someone so young you do alright for yourself here... hopefully you won't get sick of this place by the time you're like 16 or so, which is when you'll really be able to contribute big time. Although that's like 4 years from now, which is like a quarter of your life... ha, funny stuff

Colin: Take the hex off the background and multiply it by the decimal left by the saturated cloud effect. Add a layer mask and then soften it until you get a glow effect. Crop the hair a bit better and try to blend him more into the background so it appears more subtle then use the lasso tool to trace around the afformentioned background. I.e, you're a good poster.
Mazzocchi: To be completely honest there was a point where I really REALLY couldn't stand you, but you've impressed me alot since then. We're at a point now where I actually like seeing your posts, which is bizarre in it's own right... keep posting your queer news, it's always good for a laugh and keep improving

Legend: We didn't really get off to the greatest start

Riot: I think you're hilarious... admittedly you come out with some dumb shit, but I find it funny and that's all that matters. I think people underrate you somewhat, which is difficult to do to a guy who's favourite website is tshirthell.com.
Dweaver: Another one I got off to a (very) shaky start with, but you're someone I don't mind having around now. Admittedly everytime you say "What does that mean? I'm Greek

COOLmac: I'm really not sure about you... part of me wants to hate you for various reasons, but part of me can't because you're always so cheerful and nice to everyone. I like the fact that you just seem to absorb insults, it's refreshing to see someone that doesn't bite back. Good luck with your future here

KevC: How many people have I got off to bad starts with

Xianex: Firstly I'd like to apologise for my random attacks on you, and secondly I'm actually a slight fan of yours now. You're a good poster, and fairly young from what I remember so hopefully you'll be around here for quite a while.
alexboom: You're a funny little bloke to talk to on MSN

Cloudy: Might be a bit surprising seeing asthough I've never even spoken to him, but when I saw he'd signed up at the NLSC from .org I actually wanted him banned... but to be honest your posts at the NLSC have been quality, so it's nice that you're hanging around here now.
ceekay: I think you're a bit of a closet comedian... not that you're gay or anything, but I reckon you'd be really really funny if you wanted to be. Another quality poster and someone else who's good with graphics, might've had an orgasm if Gerald Green was chosen by the Knicks.
Cameron: Such a genuinely nice guy, and the only person I've ever met who plays the banjo of all things. It was fairly interesting how we managed to meet on here (and the "gay" 6am phone call will remain legendary) but even though you don't post, still one of my favourites here.
Yohance: Surprisingly we haven't really had a great deal to do with each other apart from old day flame wars, but I like what you had to offer to the NLSC. You also seemed like a nice guy on MSN, so it's a bit of a shame we didn't talk more but even still

The X: My favourite Kiwi (

Indy: Even though you're the World's biggest homer, I think you're actually a really really good poster. I make fun of you but to be honest that just means I like you. Your blind devotion to the Pacers, and the fact that you're actually going to move there for college is really impressive. Good luck to "you" for next season.

Sorry I didn't give you guys an individual comment each, but really I can sum it up easier. I think you're all quality posters, you all make good contributions and you're all great to have around. If it was 3 hours earlier you'd all get an individual comment, but yeah, it's not, so you didn't

To anyone I missed I'm sorry, it's now 3:09am but if I missed you and you should be on that list, tell me and I'll fix it up.
I'd also like to apologise to everyone for the NLSC Reality Show and the Weekly Stuff threads ending so prematurely. Things just kind of swamped me and I couldn't keep up. I've heard a few people aren't too happy about it, but all I was really trying to do is make the place a little bit more fun... I didn't want to it start eating into my own life. Anyone else is more than welcome to continue one or both if they want to.
Anyone who's still not sure about me... whether it's my attitude, the way I act etc... I'm not going to try and tell you you're right or wrong, but my main goal at the NLSC is to do my job as well as I can and to also try and make this place as good as I personally think I can.
I do put alot of effort and thought into what goes on here, mostly things no one ever picks up on but I do it because I really like this place, I don't want credit for anything and I certainly don't expect it... as long as I still enjoy loading up this site everyday I'll keep posting. I'd also like everyone to remember the other guys who do bits and pieces around the place but barely get recognized for it, and also think about the posters who actually make you keep coming to the site yourself. Thanks to everyone for being a part of the NLSC, and hopefully all of you (regardless of what I may or may not think of you
