The plans are being laid... whether this already happens however is another thing. Add to that the amount of money he'll be commanding, I mean if he gets say 4 years at roughly 10-15 mill a year... despite the great work he's done in Miami, it's easy to see that he is declining as a player. To be honest, between injuries and whatever else I can't see Shaq playing for 4 more years.

Yo Jae!! We agree!!!! I give Shaq 4 years tops. His back or knees may give out before that though. I am worried they are going to lose Udonis cause they can only offer him 5mill a year. He is solid.

Sit wrote:I have Shaq goggles??? hahaha... im a damn kobe fan... really u gotta admit Shaq does bitch about his teammates but in the end he makes them better... thats called walking the walk...

how am i saying the opposite?

what makes him great is his playing ability and size, not publicly chiding his teammates

if shaq was a true leader (and show that he has some class), he wouldn't publicly ridicule his teammates or quesiton coaching decisions like he did/does

it's wrong to applaud shaq when he deflects the responsibility to other players when his team loses

sorry for the confusion. hehe my goggle comment was directed towards jackal: don't compare shaqs problems with his teammates to jordan's and his; they are nowhere near the same level.

lol gloveguy... you're just fanning the flames. the espn/nba propaganda machine is getting to you. if you want watch rivals bitch at each other, watch the WWF, or the WWE or whatever it's called now.

i'd much rather want to see a true rivalry like the detroit-indiana one. you want to see players that have a true disdain for each other- watch that one. they're not just going to bitch in the press, they go at it on the court and it's not a distraction/takes away from the game (up until the artest going into the stands). the storyline is the game itself, unlike this lame shaq-kobe thing where the media is looking for any kind of sound bite. even sprewell's returns to MSG are more exciting/have more substance then this shaq-kobe thing

i don't know why shaq gets a break for being 'shaq'. there is a comedic element in them but also some venom included when it comes to teammates. at least charles barkley's conroversial comments had to do more with race or just something stupid rather then his teammates

Sure, maybe his comments just arent 'nice' to the ppl receiving them... but I have respect for him because he can say those words and still do his job. The only reason he can talk shit is because he knows that he was better than most of the NBA. Now he cant talk shit cause Wade will be better than him and he knows he wants that goddamn extension...

I think I'm just getting so tired of all this shit -- people choosing sides, people criticizing the other side, and whatnot. I'd rather just watch from the outside with my popcorn and drink in hand.

Shaq's doing it for our own entertainment, not so we can go and sentimentalize everything.
