That's because Garnett, according to sources, probably shouldn't even be playing these days. In what can't be a surprise to anyone, he has been playing on a seriously sore knee without complaining to anyone … or even talking about it. It's unclear if he's even well enough physically to be last season's KG -- the league's MVP, remember -- and anchor a second-half rally for a team that's worn down and getting almost nothing inside.

I'm surprised to see Kevin McHale step into the role rather than an assistant or an out of work former head coach looking to get back on the sidelines. As far as I know, he doesn't have much (if any) coaching experience and while he was a great player, that doesn't always translate.

Maybe the Lakers or Knicks can get Flip now.
Hopefully the lakers wont bother...Flip is not a bad coach but he isnt a great coach, i cant see him doing a better job than Rudy T. If he becomes our coach we'd be stuck in the 1st round of the playoffs for almost a decade(See:T-wolves)....
laker fans need to get used to the first round anyway.
dont blame rudy t or anyone else, this team at best is a first round team.
besides the management would have to ask kobe if it would be ok to interview flip.
