Tim Duncan and LeBron James, easily. LeBron's probably the least criticised of the two as the only real criticism I've ever read is of his shooting percentages, but those are vastly improved this year. Duncan's free throw shooting usually draws a mention but he's more often criticised by fans for his style of play. In any event, both have avoided harsh criticism thus far.

Oh man, as classy as that cat was he most definitely faced his share of criticism. Most of it revolved around being soft and not leading the team. He was also criticized for going for 70 points on the last game of the season to lock down the scoring title. THEN, there was his MVP season when he got DESTROYED by Hakeem the Dream in the playoffs....

Dirk Nowitzki.

Well, as far as personality goes, no. But in terms of basketball there's been plenty of criticism about being being _irk instead of Dirk on the defensive end and some have called him soft.....

Personally, I love the guy.

Not much to question about his defense this year, he really stepped it up in evert category.

every center in the 90's have had their share of getting their ass handed to them by hakeem -- robinson, o'neal, longley ( ), ewing.. oh man the list can go on. btw can you elaborate on robinson's 70 pt game and how he got criticized

What's it with Dallas players and the missing letter of a name thing? Irk Nowitzki no D(efense) and Ason Kidd no J(umpshot) a few years back....

Sure..
Going into the final day on the 94 season, robinson was averaging 29.26 ppg, and shaq had 29.31 ppg. Shaq scored 32 points, and robinson would play at the clippers later that night. He ended up scoring 71, but he coped alot of critiscism becuase it was felt that he was out there playing for stats, which was comeplete bullshit. all robinson needed was roughly 36 points. He ended up with nearly double. it was just an easy way to take shots at david robinson. he had a remarkable game, yet the media found a way to criticise him for it.

im sure robinson did want to take the title in the final game of the season. I mean u just dont score 71 on any given night. It was probably an incentive that night.

I just thought of a new player. John Stockton. besides not winning a title no one critsized him at all. I would have said malone too if it wans't for his last season with the lakers.

Hey I was like 5 years old and only knew Jordan from watching him in that cartoon series with Gretsky and Bo Jackson, 'All-Stars' was the name I think.

nope, even magic got criticized . . .

Johnson and the Lakers rebounded in 1981-82, winning their division and defeating the 76ers in another six-game NBA Finals in which Johnson repeated as MVP. The season also had its share of ugliness. Early on, Westhead wanted to restructure the offense in a way that Johnson believed would have reduced his role. In a widely reported incident, Johnson exploded in the lockerroom after a game in Utah. "I can't play here anymore. I want to leave. I want to be traded," he was quoted as saying. Reporters waited for the signal that Johnson was joking. It didn't come.

Westhead was fired the next day and replaced with assistant coach Pat Riley. At Riley's first home game, fans at the Forum booed Johnson during introductions. In Seattle he was jeered whenever he touched the ball. He paid the price in the All-Star balloting and was not selected as a starter for the only time in his career other than his injury season. It took Johnson's stellar playoff performance to silence the hecklers.
