Also, since Kentucky wore their new Hyper Elite uniforms last night, and I was able to get a closer look at how the jerseys look, I finished theirs, and should get the rest done soon enough.

Just watched this. I'm wondering if it also works when you're starting with a non-created shoe, or if it's possible, in the middle somewhere, to simply take a shoe made by a member here, re-name it appropriately, and have it show in-game. I'm going to have to do some testing.
Essentially, what I want to do is take a few of the shoes made by Robsky001, and get them into this mod. They can overwrite, as far as I'm concerned, and I believe many of his do (as they specify 'replace Nike Air Force Max' for example), but I just want to make sure it's as simply as dumping the .iff into the Game/NBA2K14 folder, and then assigning the appropriate values in RED MC, which I'm capable of doing. If this is the case, it is easy for me to release, and just have people drop the files in their Game folder. If they need to start also putting folders into their appdata/Shoes folder, etc. I'm much less inclined, as I want it to be as simple for users as possible.

bigh0rt wrote:RICH72601, thanks for the clarification. Just watched a tutorial video that essentially said the same. I've done it in past years, but I know the shoe models were different in 2K14 than in previous years, so I wasn't sure if there was more than just dropping the .iff files in, overwriting, and assigning properly in RED MC. Why would I need Robsky's shoedata file? And do you know how (if possible) to change the names of shoes so they appear properly in-game? That's a minor detail and would be fine without it, but am curious.
Thanks. I definitely plan to get some of the new shoes into this mod and assigned to teams.

When Vl@d first explained how the shoe system worked, I was totally hype because essentially, every player can have their own unique shoe and I have thousands in my mods. I have a whole system of how I do them in relation to the team colors and I'll break it down to you later. It's actually quite.
As far as Robsky's shoedata, I think that with certain shoes, the exact color schemes won't show up properly if you don't have it. I think I ran into that problem with the Lebron XIIs.

Those colors are a random example, and this is a rare case, but then I just need to situate how to handle it. Generally it's easy enough, but sometimes I run into some issues, or because you have to remain consistent, a shoe color will be a little off for just one uniform for a team, etc. I'm pumped to get this going and get teams in their new Nike, Adidas, and UA kicks, though.

When teams switch it up like that, which is why I fell in love how Med does his roster/jerseys, I just create a 3rd jersey option or more. That way I can choose a 2nd home or away jersey color combination. So a team, instead of limiting them to two jersey slots, they could have 5 selectable jerseys combinations (home 1 and 2, away 1 and 2, and alternate). Feel me?

Yes, I agree completely. I did that with Missouri and one or two other teams last year, since sometimes they wore a color jersey home with white gear, and sometimes wore it away with black gear, etc.
