I'm going to make all the hyper elite new uniforms. I just need to see what the backs of the jerseys look like and a few other closer pics and angles so they're accurate. Already made the Zona warm-up so they should be done soon. (Y)

Manni, love the video, please post more!!

Also, since Kentucky wore their new Hyper Elite uniforms last night, and I was able to get a closer look at how the jerseys look, I finished theirs, and should get the rest done soon enough. (Y)

There's very few teams who use Round Collar. I can't even think of a single one off the top of my head, though I know I've assigned it to a team or two in the past. The vast majority use Parabola collars. Even still, it's easy enough to make the swap to the 90's style middle shorts. I can probably shoot you a copy with that change made, but I won't do so after each update, and right now I'm updating frequently, as I'm in jersey making mode.

Is replacing shoes easy?? I'd like to add some of the nice updated ones to the mod but don't know how easy it'd be for users. Can anyone point me where I need to go to get more info on this matter??

Just watched this. I'm wondering if it also works when you're starting with a non-created shoe, or if it's possible, in the middle somewhere, to simply take a shoe made by a member here, re-name it appropriately, and have it show in-game. I'm going to have to do some testing.

Essentially, what I want to do is take a few of the shoes made by Robsky001, and get them into this mod. They can overwrite, as far as I'm concerned, and I believe many of his do (as they specify 'replace Nike Air Force Max' for example), but I just want to make sure it's as simply as dumping the .iff into the Game/NBA2K14 folder, and then assigning the appropriate values in RED MC, which I'm capable of doing. If this is the case, it is easy for me to release, and just have people drop the files in their Game folder. If they need to start also putting folders into their appdata/Shoes folder, etc. I'm much less inclined, as I want it to be as simple for users as possible.

bigh0rt, I've already replaced some of the default shoes with the shoe mods from Robsky001. It's quite simple. I haven't tested out creating a shoe and renaming it to that, but I'll test it out later. Some of the shoes in 2k are RGB, some look true to that picture where the colors are set to one style, and there are a couple that are not RGB or set, but have a weird color scheme. We would also have to make sure the team colors are setup right so that the shoes show up properly, which is what I do in my personal mods. I'll post some pics and maybe a video later today.

RICH72601, thanks for the clarification. Just watched a tutorial video that essentially said the same. I've done it in past years, but I know the shoe models were different in 2K14 than in previous years, so I wasn't sure if there was more than just dropping the .iff files in, overwriting, and assigning properly in RED MC. Why would I need Robsky's shoedata file? And do you know how (if possible) to change the names of shoes so they appear properly in-game? That's a minor detail and would be fine without it, but am curious.

Thanks. I definitely plan to get some of the new shoes into this mod and assigned to teams. (Y)

When Vl@d first explained how the shoe system worked, I was totally hype because essentially, every player can have their own unique shoe and I have thousands in my mods. I have a whole system of how I do them in relation to the team colors and I'll break it down to you later. It's actually quite.

As far as Robsky's shoedata, I think that with certain shoes, the exact color schemes won't show up properly if you don't have it. I think I ran into that problem with the Lebron XIIs.

Having the Team Colors in RED MC is a delicate balance because, unlike in the NBA, just about every NCAA team has a player who wear short sleeve t-shirts under their jerseys, so automatically, one of the TC designations must match the color of the jersey. I generally then use the other color for the leg and arm pads (if they are not always the same color as the jersey, and need a separate slot -- and actually, these are often used for the team color socks, which I assign as the Ankle Braces, and still need to overwrite the texture with the Nike Hyper Elite sock texture I made...). The easy part is that I generally assign one shoe for an entire NCAA team, so once I can get the colors to work in the Shoe Gear section of RED MC, it works. I'm just sometimes limited on what colors I can use, since every home jersey is going to have TC1 as white, for example. There's few rare examples of teams who don't have anybody who wears a t-shirt, which makes the process infinitely easier.

Which is exactly why I only use the Team Color "0" (home/away) and "1" (main team color) for shoes only. The Team Color "2" is what I use mainly for player accessories like in the NBA, to which the home color would be "FFFFFF" (white) and the away color would be "C11B17" (red), for example. There is a delicate balance, but it still works (for me) because even if a player wore red with the home jersey, he could. Here's how it would look in REDMC.

TColor0 TColor1 TColor2 TColor3
FFFFFF C11B17 FFFFFF FFFFFF
141414 C11B17 C11B17 C11B17

Yeah, that's what I generally do as well, but sometimes can run into problems when teams are inconsistent with their gear, shoes, etc. Sometimes a team will wear red shoes (TC0), white jersey and thus t-shirt underneath (TC1), navy arm/leg sleeves (TC2), and red socks to match their shoes (I have no way to assign this). Those colors are a random example, and this is a rare case, but then I just need to situate how to handle it. Generally it's easy enough, but sometimes I run into some issues, or because you have to remain consistent, a shoe color will be a little off for just one uniform for a team, etc. I'm pumped to get this going and get teams in their new Nike, Adidas, and UA kicks, though. When teams switch it up like that, which is why I fell in love how Med does his roster/jerseys, I just create a 3rd jersey option or more. That way I can choose a 2nd home or away jersey color combination. So a team, instead of limiting them to two jersey slots, they could have 5 selectable jerseys combinations (home 1 and 2, away 1 and 2, and alternate). Feel me? :D

Yes, I agree completely. I did that with Missouri and one or two other teams last year, since sometimes they wore a color jersey home with white gear, and sometimes wore it away with black gear, etc.

The details in this game (2K14) are crazy. I can only play 2K15 for like 5 minutes until I switch back because I can't touch and change it like I want.
