CHANGING SHOOTING STYLES..

Postby KilIluminati on Thu Dec 01, 2005 6:53 pm

Is there a way to change shooting styles.. I notices Webber, Yao, Okur all take jumpshots, when really they should be shooting like rasheed, set shot, not jump in the air.. i wanna know if there is a way to change shooting styles.. maybe DBF editing.. thanks

I can tell you. It has to do with the dribbling rating, and possibly the quickness rating. They must be above a certain level for the player to have the guard-type shot, otherwise they will have the big man-type shot.

its weird.. it worked for everyone when i lowered the dribbling below 50.. but with Garnett.. no matter what i try doing he still does jumpers.. any way to fix it..?

Ive checked every field in the DBF and compared it to Jermaine Oneal's fields.. all are similar.. i even lowered Kg's ratings all to 1.. and he was still doing jumpers!! So i donno.. i think its probably some viv thing mayber.. like their shooting style? what could it possibly be, because every other player, once i lowered the rating of dribble to 49.. they did big man shot..

damn.. no1 has a solution? :(

Could be the THREEPTSTYLE attribute. While it's used mainly for the Three Point Shootout (which is where most of the distinct styles show up) there's a couple of different forms that are used in 5 on 5 gameplay.

yeah but Jermaine oneal has that field set at 10.. and so does KG.. oneal shoots big man shot, KG jumpers..! I changed dwyane wade's dribble to 49 to test it and he still shoots jumpers too.. it might be a guard thing. I do have KG listed at PF though.. i know definitely its not ingame ratings.. its something with dbf or maybe viv even

i just want them to shoot big mans shot.. not jumpers.. they dont get off the ground as much as kobe, iverson , etc.. theres more players who dont shoot jumpers, YAO, JONEAL, OKAFOR, BREZEC, etc.

maybe its height/weight/dribbling/off aware/jumping all mixed into one big jumpshot :? then again, maybe its just set when they make the players...

:? I wrote that farther up the page. If dribbling is above 50, they shoot like a guard, if it's 49 and below, they shoot like a big-man.
