PS-PC converter problem

Postby Musicman on Fri Sep 30, 2005 6:21 pm

Anyone have any ideas...
I use a converter as i did in Live 2005, same one now.
But in 2006 the controller does not work. Can't control the players at all. *Only if i try with the keyboard and we all know that sucks.

what happens when you configure the controller, does is respond at all when you try to config a button?

For nba live 2004 en 05 i used a ps2 controller (cheap piranha controller 10 euros), connected to the printer port. I had to screw with it for ages to get it working for 06 again, but it works like a charm now.

Try configuring from the device manager as well.

If you too have a ps2 controller connected to the printer port (ltp) then you should be able to get it working.

That's what is strange. If i go to the configure menu I get to change the different buttons. But in game nothing works.

It is a dual analog pad for PS2 I use and it is connected to the USB on a stationary PC.
May it have anything to do with this not being a recomended controller fram EA?

Or you didn't select the right controller profile? Test... (Y)
Good luck

I've got a converter and a ps2 controller. Works just fine for me. I shit my self at first though, cos the anolog controls weren't working, but I realised I had to press the 'analog' button on the controller (the small little one in the middle, like the pause button), then the red light comes on. On a ps2 this is automatically on.

Also, config was a bit wack, so had to change some buttons around (pause/timeout back to front etc.)

hope that helps........

Thanks for all the help. Fixed my own setup and picked this one in-game.
Now everything works just fine :D

i use a an old dual analog non vibrating PS1 controller with a crappy old usb adapter i bought on ebay a few years ago for like $5. It has never let me down. It also fully supports 2 pads... which is sick.

I always have to configure the buttons in game though. But i keep a Logitech Dual action hanging around for button # reference.

Also, like the guy above said... make sure you have the analog button on.
