NOVEMBER 2006 SUMMARY
November started horribly with 3 straight losses which seemed to suggest another poor start to a season. However, once the team started to gel and Arenas was used a bit more off-the-ball, the team responded and finished the month strongly with a 7-6 record.
The top performer for the Bobcats had to be Gilbert Arenas who seems to have done a lot of soul searching in the off-season as he's come out ready to play. Okafor is also playing well, as is 2nd year guard Watson. New acquistions Nene and Van Exel are providing a spark off the bench and the team doesn't lose much when I go to the bench. However on the downside, Luke Walton and Kyle Korver have been very disappointing to date and the former will probably be shopped for a SG if there is any interest league-wide.
Nov 1, 2006 - Charlotte 88 @ Utah 92 [HUMAN GAME]
This game was a heartbreaker as I crumbled in the 4th quarter as Giricek got going. This game left a sick feeling in my gut for a while. No excuses can be made in this one. Team falls to 0-2.
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Dumars 1pt
Nov 2, 2006 - Charlotte 100 @ Seattle 120 [INTERVENTION GAME]
Game was pretty much over once I intervened as I was down by 12pts at the end of 3rd quarter. Seattle continued its strong play to win this one easily. Bobcats are struggling at 0-3.
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Watson 1pt
Nov 5, 2006 - Charlotte 93 @ New Jersey 97 [SIMMED GAME]
Another heartbreaking loss, this time in OT to the Nets. Arenas seemingly couldn't hit anything. Charlotte has opened the season with a 4 game losing streak in their new black uniforms. A bad omen I guess.
BPMM Points: Watson 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Nene 1pt
Nov 9, 2006 - Charlotte 106 vs Phoenix 102 [HUMAN GAME]
Finally the bleeding has stopped as the Bobcats held on to scrape out a win at home against the blood-thirsty Suns. Although his stats don't indicate it, Hassakis was key in leading the Suns' failed comeback. Team is now 1-4 having stopped the 4 game skid.
BPMM Points: Dumars 3pts, Nene 2pts, Okafor 1pt
Nov 12, 2006 - Charlotte 107 vs Minnesota 93 [INTERVENTION GAME]
Coming into the 4th quarter, the Bobcats had built a nice 8 point lead. However, the T'wolves immediately cut into that lead until I employed a 3 guard lineup (Van Exel, Arenas and Watson) to combat the comeback. Watson ended up coming up bigtime as he made some clutch plays to stretch the lead out midway through the 4th and then the rest of the team kicked in and put it beyond doubt. Team's record is now 2-4.
BPMM Points: Watson 3pts, Arenas 2pts, Wallace 1pt
Nov 13, 2006 - Charlotte 87 vs Chicago 88 [SIMMED GAME]
As I watched the game unfold it looked good as the team led by 9 points after 3 quarters. I thought there was no chance I would lose this. Well I was wrong. That sick feeling from that Jazz game came back as the Bulls stole this one. A really tough loss as the team falls to 2-5.
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Watson 2pts, Wallace 1pt
Nov 15, 2006 - Charlotte 117 vs Milwaukee 107 [HUMAN GAME]
'Meka and G.A. really stepped up in this one as the 'Cats held on to win this one comfortably. The team is now 3-5.
BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Arenas 2pts, Nene 1pt
Nov 18, 2006 - Charlotte 85 vs Boston 99 [INTERVENTION GAME]
Entering the 4th quarter down by 9 points, this game was not out of reach. Within a couple of minutes it was as Ricky Davis took over as the Celtics rolled. The team fell to 3-6
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Nene 1pt
Nov 21, 2006 - Charlotte 95 vs LA Clippers 81 [SIMMED GAME]
The offensive production of Arenas and Watson was enough to get the job done, but it was Okafor's complete shutdown of rookie Bogut that was the most impressive. I don't know why the Clippers have moved Bogut to PF, but it didn't appear to work. This was the team's 2nd straight win and the team is now 4-6.
BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Arenas 2pts, Watson 1pt
Nov 22, 2006 - Charlotte 108 @ Sacramento 105 [HUMAN GAME]
Arenas put up 16 points in the 3rd quarter to give the 'Cats a huge lead going into the 4th. But Peja and the Kings came back well, but in the end the team was able to hold on and move to only one game under .500 (5-6).
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Korver 1pt
Nov 24, 2006 - Charlotte 120 vs Seattle 110 [INTERVENTION GAME]
Just what I like to see, a 14 point intervention lead to hold on to.

NLSC-er Xu had a good game off the bench, but in reality, this game was all about Gilbert Arenas as he led the team back to .500 (6-6).
BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Van Exel 1pt
Nov 30, 2006 - Charlotte 125 @ Golden State 103 [SIMMED GAME]
Another simmed win

as the team finishes the month with a winning record 7-6, which is terrific considering the 0-4 start to the season. Strong support from many players in this game.
BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Wallace 1pt
