I ran to get a new gpu and man was I amazed with the game my menus were running at 240+ frames after initially running at 1 fps.Loving the game

I run the game on:
Anti-Aliasing level 1, Special effects off
Textures, Media people, Crowd, Shader level - Medium
Player Detail - high.
I get steady 60fps and its always around 60-80 with no problem. I know my PCs trash, just wanted to share with someone who has very little money and/or not a good pc.

I'm asking becouse AMD is really cheaper than Intel....
Dommy73 wrote:Also note that 125W CPUs are capable of cooking lower-end motherboards that lack sufficient VRMs.
And that modern Intel i3 CPUs are capable of better performance in many situations and games.

They're capable of running many things well and they're not going to be general bottleneck with your GPUs. Pair them with 980 Ti and you'll see the limitations.
Their main issue right now is that they're not a good buy (at retail price) at the moment. They platform cost is too high, because even though the CPU is rather cheap, you'll spend more on motherboard (compared to solid motherboards for Intel) and cooling and it kinda evens out... resulting in Intel being the better choice.
As a side note, ever since I upgraded from FX-8320, the winters have been honestly a little bit colder in my room (this winter will be interesting, new place).

Honestly, I don't build... so I buy pre-built and I've had great luck. Getting the AMD FX 6300 with Nvidia GTX 960 for $400 was huge for me. We needed the second computer for the living room, and it doesn't overhear and runs well (Never goes over 60C, even with playing the Witcher 3. On the Witcher 3, I get 60 FPS with High settings (Foliage on Medium some on Ultra, it's a mixture so I call it high). But the game looks and works great. Couldn't beat that for $400. I havn't had any issues with bottlenecking on the rigs I mentioned.
I'm one of those people that likes to stick with something if it works. AMD just hasn't failed me yet, I havn't paid much attention to the motherboards (Maybe I'm not that savvy yet). On all three of the computers I have a Power Supply of 650W or higher, and that seems to be fine.
