Saw this thread over at OS, thought it was a good one. Lots of interesting ways of introducing yourself to the new release.
------------------------------
For me it will be the same as every year: Go into the roster editor and see what's editable with players and lineups etc. See if there's any new attributes/tendencies. See whether we can customize bodytypes/tattoos this year. See how customizable the new freelance offenses are. See whether coaches/owners/staff members are editable yet. See what editing draft classes is like. Basically check out whatever elements of the NBA landscape are customizable.
Then i'll spend a couple of hours editing rosters/attributes as i see fit.
After that i'll go into MyLEAGUE mode and do some test simming and sim like 10 seasons ahead to get a feel for player progression/regression, stats, see what generated players are like, etc. See whether last year's flaws got fixed. After that i'll decide whether i'm going to invest serious time into the game this year.
After that it's time to get a feel for the gameplay, i'll do that through the tutorial vids in 2KU as well as playing some good teams against some bad teams and vice versa.
Once things start to get a little repetitive after a few months i'll dive into MyCAREER or MyTEAM etc.
What will you do? Any suggestions?
