What would be the reasonable card to upgrade to?

Can't be sure at 100% since the game isn't out but you are probably good with what you have

Jaosming,560ti is comparable to a gtx750 nowadays.So a clear update the best way to go is a 760 or 760ti 2gb.

You have to remember that the 600 is just a newer series than the 500. The second number,6 in your case gives a good representation of that video cards power. So a 700 series card will be newer than the 500 or 600.
But you would much rather have a 670 than a 750. Even though the 750 is a newer series, it would be less powerful.

That's why a 750 will cost you around $120 and a 660 will run you closer to $200.
If I were you I would keep that card and upgrade if you have to after the game is released.

Edit: By the way a "ti" usually denotes a higher core clock speed as well as higher memory and Shader clock speed. If you ever have the chance to get a ti for a little extra $,it's usually a good idea.

Hey all,

I need help. I want to see if the experts out there can tell me what my computer may need to run NBA 2k15 on the highest settings. I listed the minimum/recommended settings below. Im willing to spend up to $300-$350 on parts. Here is what I have currently

Windows 7 Home
Processor AMD A10-5800k APU with Radeon HD Grapics (quadcore) 3.8 GHZ
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GC (7,45 GB Usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system

Currently, I am able to run NBA 2k14 on the highest settings, even able to implement an FXAA tool, Ambient occlusion HBAO on Ultra, etc etc. Currently though, I use Radeon PRO placing the Vsync on Dynamic, and I get 60 FPS. The game, to me, looks awesome with no issues. Occasional an ENB will mess with the framerate, but I don't like most of the ENBS anyway. Thanks in advance for the advice

Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit or higher
Processor: Intel Core2 Duo or better
Memory: 2 or more GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 10.1 compatible (512 MB) or better
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space
Sound Card: 9.0c compatible
Additional Notes: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad

Recommended:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit or higher
Processor: Intel Core i7 or better
Memory: 4 or more GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 11.0 compatible (2 GB) or better
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Additional Notes: Dual-analog gamepad

Again all the comments im reading is over estimating whats really needed by this game to run on the highest quality possible.. you are overrating console specs and underrating the power of the pc's..if the game can run on a dual core and 512 graphic card at minimum i guess you have an idea thats it does not need a strong or high end pc to run on the highest quality possible.. i dont have a high end pc and my rig is simple but i am confident i can run this game on all high settings smoothly without any problems. Whats my basis for that? I played this game on pc since 2k11 and i played this game on the ps4 this year..studied and observed it thats why i knew what is needed to run this game in the first place. And i said it here and some people called me crazy. 2gb dual core minimum. Thats not a lucky guess. Study the two games and see if theres much difference and you will all figure it out. Its actually easy. Thats all. Thank you.

Sorry, AMD 6670 HD. I saw the AMD R9 285 graphics card just came out, will be about $249.00. Im willing to buy that and more ram, just curious what everybody recommends. I have room for another graphics card

Thanks again in advance

Dont waste your money. Wait for the game to come out..if you are not contented with ur pc's performance on it then thats yhe time u buy something or upgrade. But your rig seems decent enough. Just wait for the game and try it first before buying 250 dollars worth of hardware coz u might not need it at all.

i tend to agree with tatlopuyo

wait till the Game comes out

your Graphics Card is a Directx11 Card so you dont know.. maybe it is sufficient

try it and then decide if you need an upgrade

Doesn't mean anything, it's the first time we see "next gen" version of the game on PC so there is no comparison possible, games are running differently on consoles and PC also if it has a bad optimisation it can run horribly on a decent computer, and we can't compare to 2k11 since it's completely different.

if the game can run on a dual core and 512 graphic card at minimum i guess you have an idea thats it does not need a strong or high end pc to run on the highest quality possible..

It depends on what settings are used in low / max; if it sets Antialiasing OFF, SSAO OFF,shadow, lower resolution and more; there is a lot of settings that ask a lot of VRAM or CPU usage; that's why they say "minimum & recommended" ...
Even if i kinda agree on the point that you don't need exactly what they are asking on recomended (specially CPU) don't expect to run the game on Ultra with something a bit better than the minimum requierement

That's what kinda sucks with PC games, there is no way to tell if you'll be able to run the game with max settings or not before release, even if you have what's recommended to play on Ultra, that's why usually you see drivers or game update few days after release that fix hardware issue to give you better FPS / performance, the best exemple is GTA 4 people were waiting for it and saying "If it runs on PS3 / 360 my PC will handle it easily max settings" and it was almost impossible to run it 60 fps with a gaming PC until few months later with 3 or 4 updates

First, again, thank you.

BUT, you would consider me to be SAFE if I were to get that second graphics card in there? Im only slightly worried about the processor, because from what I can tell it resembles an I5 instead of an I7. I feel like my RAM is high enough so I wont spend money there. Obviously we are all kinda guessing because next gen is new to PC for basketball games. But the goal is to be able to run NBA 2k15 on the highest settings possible, at 60fps, like I do now with NBA 2k14. I LOVE this way 2k14 looks, looks much better than the XBOX360 version (I use Lagoa v6.0 global with default body type, FXAA by Frostt etc) I play it on a 46 inch to with 1920 x 1080 resolution via HD cable. My TV is an ELEMENT 1080p HD. I have two XBOX360 wired controllers hooked up. I want to thank all the amazing modders out there as well, the TNT mods, roster mods (UBR) etc have made 2k14 the best, cant wait for modding to be figured out for the new game

Re: NBA 2K15 PC specifications released!

Thats always the arguement here "next gen" and since its nextgen we need something powerful for it right? Coz its a new engine blah blah blah.. next gen 2k14 was supposed to be nba 2k12 with higher textures and better player models. As i said i played this game on the ps4 and studied what changed from the last gen to the so called nextgen version.. from the courts to the player models and shit like that. I also mod on pc and i did a lot of experimenting before so i know whats the differences and what changes between versions.

What would be the reasonable card to upgrade to?

GTX 760 I guess (depending on rest of your pc). If you aren't in rush, I would wait for Q2 2015 for 20nm.

i7 3770K and 8gb RAM. I am thinking about waiting to upgrade to gauge how optimized the game is and such, but budgets yo.
Opinions are my own.

OK fine, that will not bottleneck any GPU (unless you count in overkill solutions like quad SLI Titans Z).
If I were you, I would just wait for the 800 series for the same reason I advised someone else - if nothing, it will lower prices of 600 and 700 series models.
But GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM starts at $250, 4GB editions at $300.
GTX 770 2GB starts around $350 and 4GB around $390.

I did some calculations today and realized that it's going to take me at least 4-5 hours to download this game. That's if the install is only 30GB. Some people with slow connections might have to wait an entire day to download it.

You can check this to calculate how long it will take with your internet connection.

Honestly, with the new Graphics Card generation coming out this Fall, i would not buy anything right now!
because even if you still want to buy a 760 then, it will propably drop in Price one the 880 is released

Yes your Ram is absolutly fine and even your CPU should be good enough, its a strong 3.8 GHZ Quad Core, wich is perfectly fine for another year to play almost everything (2k15 for certain)
