Andrew wrote:Yeah, that's a headscratcher. Would've much preferred they kept Belinelli, so that's disappointing. You can't even chalk it up to a money saving move when you're bringing in Dunleavy for basically the same deal.

Dunleavy was pretty solid in the Miami series as well.Andrew wrote:Better the devil you know, I guess?
Glancing at their stats again though, Dunleavy did shoot the ball better last year. For some reason I had it in my head that he performed worse than he did.

I kept hearing that Snell was one of the better shooters in the Draft, so he could be a promising selection. I'm all for them having a little more of a scoring punch so if he can turn out to be a knockdown shooter, that'd be most welcome. I'm guessing it'll be a situation similar to Jimmy Butler where he won't get a lot of quality minutes in his rookie season but if he can show flashes of being a good role player, an opportunity might open up for him in his second year. I'm not expecting to see too much of him or for the Bulls to get too much out of him right out of the gate but for the 20th pick, he's worth a shot.
I'm guessing there's a greater chance that Snell will be able to find a place in the rotation at some point compared to Murphy. Depending on whether he has NBA three point range he could perhaps be a stretch four and essentially fill the role that Radmanovic was signed for last year. So yeah, the bar's not high and whatever contributions he can make will be a pleasant surprise.
They're the 20th and 49th picks in a Draft that isn't exactly the Class of 1984, 1996 or 2003. Hopefully, one of them can turn into a solid role player at some point.
On another note, Noah is apparently going to be working out with Hakeem this offseason.

Murphy looks like an excellent 2nd round pick, unfortunately he broke his nose tonight. Goudelock had an off night, I still think we should give him a contract considering Teague is still turning the ball over too much and Hinrich is sure to get hurt sometime during the season.
