I would take as many dunk and alleyoop animations as possible, so we don't see the same animations multiple times in a game.
Go To Moves would be cool to see comeback, at least in a sense of more signature style
This Backwards Crossover from Live 08 blew my mind when I first did it -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw_KfIG2Lw0#t=2m50s - you could chain them into a backcourt violation if you wanted, lol.
Also from Live 08 the walk-up animations were really good, so it would be nice to see again if we aren't Turbo-ing up the court -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw_KfIG2Lw0#t=50sSince I think the same animation files were used in Live 06 (360) as the old PS2 versions of the game (assuming since I noticed the same animations being used) I would really really like to see the bounce dunk and self alleyoop dunks comeback (as a rare fast break dunk)

A thru the legs dunk, there was one in Live 07. Hell, if the off-the-backboard stuff is coming back from Elite 11, maybe even the honey dip from that game. Again, rarities, but rewarding to pull off when the situation is right.
Also, the eurostep, around the back, and other layup variations from Live 07 & Live 10 would be great to have return
As would the tip-to-self rebounds in Live 10, again, variety is key
Do NOT bring back that Live 07 speed dribble animation please
Live 09 had good quickstrike animations for dribbling, as did 08. Maybe add variation for dribble moves as well? Same dribble stick movements but different animations playing out?
If you have this animation mo-capped for this trailer, I would love to see it in game -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu7Q8PgWQkw#t=10sThe celebration/ambient animations after a basket in NBA and NCAA 10 were pretty good, so those would be nice to see return.
And speaking of the NCAA series, it was possible for a point guard to be laid out by a big-man screen in the backcourt if they were turboing right into him. That would be nice to see again, but in the NBA game.
IIRC, the NCAA game had different dunk animations than the Live series, so maybe take a look and add from their database as well. I know I keep stressing it, but seeing the same basic dunk over and over again is what kills a game's replayability for me.
But yea, I would say use as much of the database as possible, just for animation variety. Layups, shots, dribbles, rebounds, Dunks, all of it.
