Meanwhile, Rasual Butler has been cut by the Raptors and is looking to sign on with a contender, with the Bulls apparently being one of his preferred destinations. It didn't really work out so well last year because he was out of the rotation and as such scarcely used, but it couldn't hurt to bring him on board again.

Absolutely, I expect he'll largely go to waste again if it happens. If he's fine with that though, might as well sign him so he's there in case of injury or foul trouble.
