Did that had to be a joke or are you upset of me taking away both Griffin and Bledsoe?

Cavs @ Warriors

Postby Cruzerr on Wed May 25, 2011 7:46 pm

Another tight game as Cavaliers prevail over Golden State

Image

First Quarter

Last times these teams met in Cleveland, Cavaliers burned them in double-overtime, winning it 131-121. This time however, things seemed different and with the home crowd, Golden State took an early lead. With the huge play of Ellis and Curry, in the ninth minute, they even got the game to double-digits and extended it to 14. When Bledsoe came off the bench, he and Parker did get the game back to single-digits, but it did end 26-18.

Clevelands top scorer: A.Parker 8 PTS
Warriors top scorer: M.Ellis 10 PTS 2 AST 2 STL

Second Quarter

Cleveland looked motivated and really caught off fired and got within four points, but Ellis and the rest of the gang started to control and increased their lead. By the time of three minutes left, the lead was 16. However, when Sean Williams came off the bench and scored four points, Cavaliers fired up and really worked hard. With Bledsoe hitting a nice layup in the end, the score was 49-45 and Warriors had something to fear about, that deja vu would not struck them.

Clevelands top scorer : A.Parker 12 PTS 1 AST 1 STL
Warriors top scorer : M.Ellis 14 PTS 1 REB 3 AST 4 STL

Third Quarter

Blake came in and scored an and-1, hitting the free throw and tying it up. After that, Warriors went on a 20-4 run, and all hope seemed lost. Suddenly, everybody in the Cavaliers started clicking, and before you knew, Cleveland went on a 22-6 run, tying up the game in 71. With Warriors slightly held on to the lead, Bledsoe hit a quick three to take the lead in 76-75. Ellis did help the team to bounce back, but with a memorizing shot from Blake Griffin finishing the game 81-79, Warriors needed to step up their game in the last.

Clevelands top scorer : A.Parker 20 PTS 1 REB 2 AST 1 STL
Warriors top scorer : M.Ellis 22 PTS 1 REB 4 AST 6 STL

Forth Quarter

It started off with Kwame Brown hitting a dunk and tying the game. But after that, it was DeMar DeRozan show. Nobody could stop him and every shot that the Warriors hit, DeRozan answer with his own. The game was tense and neck-and-neck, both teams were trading buckets and leads. With five minutes left, Warriors got the game to seven, but Cleveland took it back. In a minute remaining, Anthony Parker hit a three, that gave the Cavaliers a one point lead. But with 20 seconds to go, Ellis hit his shot and gave them the lead. After that, T-Will stole the ball and hit a dunk to regain the lead. With four seconds remaining, the game-winner was up to Al Thornton, but with Williams in his face, he could not make it, finishing the game 112-111 for Cleveland.

Press Conference :
"Ellis, again, you have a big game and again, you cant get away with the final victory. What happened in both of those games?"
"Well, it was close this time and last time. Cleveland is a strong team and I might even say better than Heat."

"Bledsoe, might I ask, how is the team treating you?"
"Aww man, this team is great. Clippers was great and this is great, I am certainly hoping to get a playoff spot."

Conclusion :
As Cleveland gets this win before heading back home to face their Streak Stoppers : Memphis Grizzlies, this well fought win was needed. For Golden State, they do have a chance to get in the playoffs, they just need to work harder.

Dunk Contest Replacement

Postby Cruzerr on Thu May 26, 2011 10:46 pm

Jameer Nelson replaces J-Rich in the dunk contest

Image

Today at 10 AM, the leading Point Guard for the Orlando Magic, Jameer Nelson, has agreed to replace his teammate Jason Richardson for the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. The two-time Dunk Contest champion is happy that it is Nelson, who is replacing him.

" I think Jameer is going to get a huge experience from this contest. It will be fun to watch him. " Nelson himself however said that this is something new for him, but he thinks, that"Superman" Dwight Howard would be a better replacement.
" Well, I am really happy to try this, but I think Howard(Dwight) would have made some huge noise in that competition. We will see how I do."

Nelsons has some very tough opponents, as he is going to face DeMar DeRozan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and J.R Smith from the Denver Nuggets. They both seemed happy that somebody new and short is going to enter this sort of contest. DeMar said : " I think it is cool to see a short player like Spud Webb or Nate Robinson in the dunk contest. He does not dunk a lot in game but we will see what he brings to the table."

Dwight Howard himself said that he will literally lift him up if he needs the help. " I have done that before, It is the only time I have seen him dunking.*Chuckles*"

As the All-Star weekend is next month, we will see what Jameer and a bunch of other players bring to the table. For now, I leave you with a Jameer Nelson dunking video. Enjoy !

Cavs @ Memphis

Postby Cruzerr on Fri May 27, 2011 8:37 pm

Memphis take the season series 2-0 as they win Cleveland

Image

First Quarter

As this was one of the most highly anticipated games in the NBA, with both teams being in the top 3 of their conferences(Cleveland second, Memphis third). Add that and the fact, that Memphis stopped Clevelands huge streak, this game had to be really exciting.

It started off with a 5 point lead for Memphis. Cavaliers quickly got the game back and it started as a back-and-forth contest, but at some point, the Grizzlies went on a 18-4 run, leaving no chance for the Cavaliers.

Both T-Will and S-Will did get the game back to single-digits. Quarter finished with Battier hitting a three and making the game 28-17.

Clevelands top scorer : T.Williams 4 PTS 2 AST
Memphis top scorer : O.J.Mayo 9 PTS 1 AST 1 BLK

Second Quarter

Cleveland seemed fired up. They really pushed hard and with some time, they got the game back to five and were looking to take the game back.

However, Memphis never let them pass and with the huge and dominating play from both Mayo and Zack, it seemed that Cleveland would have no chance. The game was always in a eight point differential, with Memphis leading.

At some point, Cavaliers star Blake Griffin twisted his ankle while going for a rebound. He did return, but was cold and that did not help Clevelands chances.

With Grizzlies just dominating, the halftime ended 54-41, and it seemed that Cleveland, would need a miracle.

Clevelands top scorer : S.Williams 7 PTS 2 REB 1 BLK
Memphis top scorer : O.J Mayo 15 PTS 2 REB 1 AST 1 BLK

Third Quarter

Blake Griffin started to dominate and got the game to eight, as it seemed the all mighty Cavaliers could make a comeback. Unfortunately, when O.J Mayo and Rudy Gay hit some nasty and-1 plays, things turned around.

Grizzlies players started to work hard on defense and gave the scoring for Mayo,Zebo and Rudy, as they extended the game to 25 points.

Cleveland seemed to drop to 20 some point, but Memphis ignored their tries, as the quarter ended 92-64, with it being all over.

Clevelands top scorer : B.Griffin 12 PTS 5 REB 1 AST 1 STL 2 BLK
Memphis top scorer : R.Gay 25 PTS 5 REB 2 AST 3 STL 1 BLK

Forth Quarter

Donte Greene tried to help out the team and get back into the game. Eric Bledsoe joined in but stopping Mayo and Gay was not easy.

Every time Cleveland scored, Memphis scored back even painfully, as they had full control. Terrence Williams was really trying to kill them, as he scored over half of his points in the last.

By the end of it, whatever Cavaliers did, Memphis still did it better, as the game finished 124-102.

Press Conference :

"Coach Byron, could you say that Memphis is the hardest team you have faced with the Cavs?"
"Yes, I can. Mainly because their great coach and their top talented players."

"O.J, you had a better game than usual. Can we expect this kind of performance from you again?"
"Well, I was on fire. Some days, you feel that you are clicking from everywhere. Some days you miss everything, even a dunk. We will see if I can keep this up."

Conclusion :

As Pacers are still behind Cleveland, and Heat is still dominating, it really does not do anything bad for Cleveland. For Memphis however, it seems now they plus Suns and Lakers will fight for the top seed in the West.

Exodus, It was. Tried to come back with T-Will but no chance.

osaki, Yeah, I am thinking that I should bench him in the next game so his injury wont worsen, but it is against the Knicks.

Martti.,
Valdis, Cmon Guys :D , What, you want me to replace him too ? :D

"This just in, Jameer Nelson is not going to participate because he is scared and does not know how to dunk!"
