SAN ANTONIO -- As the San Antonio Spurs await the beginning of their Western Conference Semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks, we take a look back at the team’s first round win over the New Orleans Hornets and also review how the other seven series in the playoffs finished. Mickael Pietrus finished with 24 points and Vince Carter added 19 ... Pietrus and Carter combined for 27 free throw attempts ... Quentin Richardson contributed 14 points off the bench for Orlando ... ♦ Game 5 --- IND @ ORL [1-4] --- Magic quiet some doubts with series-clinching win over Pacers: The Orlando Magic closed out the series, 4-1, against the seventh-seeded Indiana Pacers, in a 112-103 triumph ... Vince Carter led the team with 31 points and seven rebounds ... as a reserve, Ryan Anderson scored 16 points in only 12 minutes ... Anderson made up for Dwight Howard, who again had problems with his fouling and only had eight points ... Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson had 14 points apiece for the Magic, who will battle the Boston Celtics in one half of the East Semis ...
