My dad is fine, as are a few other family & friends. Hopefully nobody I know has died. It's two degrees of separation in Christchurch, so I naturally fear that won't be the case.

Thanks, details are obviously very vague when they do come through.
In regards to my relative, I heard that they got her out and she is currently in the hospital in ICU (intensive care). Apparently her legs were crushed. I'm not sure how bad they are or whether she'll leave them. Not good for her or her direct family. The bright side is that she is alive, so we can all be thankful for that.
Aside from that, my Dad said his driveway is gone (I'm assuming ripped apart) & is unsure of how much damage to his house (which he was trying to sell before moving back to Oz, but that's probably not going to happen for a long while now).

Sorry to hear about all that x. But like you said the bright side is she's alive. If she does happen to lose her legs though, at least theres examples out there that prove its not the end of the world. Here's to a safe, quick recovery![]()
And positive energies out to everyone dealing with this.

The latest update is she's lost both legs and is currently fighting for her life. Apparently not looking good for her

End of any racist discussion.
