Damn, totally ripped off Portland! (Y) Also the Hassan trade is good too, you now get some size in your frontcourt.

Thanks, I really needed a big man in Hassan Whiteside, and I wanted extra depth at SF.

Unfortunately, Hassan is still a reserve due to his rating. I'm surprised they were so willing to trade Batum!

This is Live 2003 on the PC, so with a little bit of dbf editing, and so awesome patching from ize, my team, it's logos, jerseys, and court are all patched.

Thanks Thierry!

So I've run into a bunch of problems on the computer I play Live 2003 on. (I'm posting from a different CPU) Luckily, I had saved my saves folder to a USB a couple days earlier, so I've still got a some recaps, but I will not be updating as often as before. :(

Wow. I just realized I'm getting ready to play the All-Star soon (whenever my computer decides to work). I've got several recaps I can write.

Here's one coming up in the next few minutes...

Domination [1-10] History Is Made In Loss To OKC

Postby rise on Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:28 am

Durant's 42 Outdoes Dudley's Triple-Double

Though fans had to endure a ton of missed shots by Jared Dudley, Dudley surprised with an enormous fourth quarter, gaining his first ever triple-double, along with the franchise's first ever triple-double. Dudley scored 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists in the fourth quarter to attain the triple-double. But it was a game where three players were close to this huge award. Jeff Green broke the All-Time NBA record for most steals in a match with THIRTEEN, shattering the old NBA record of 11. He fell three rebounds short of a triple-double. DeJuan Blair had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in the match.

Kevin Durant led the second highest scorer (tie: Dudley, Green) in the game by 24 points, with a grand total of 42 points on 17-21 (81%) shooting from the field. Because of this, Jannero Pargo, Russell Westbrook, and Eric Maynor each got big assist totals. With this game, Kevin Durant has reclaimed his spot as highest PPG scorer in the league, after trailing Jason Richardson, who enjoyed a hot 10-game streak of 30.9 ppg, and Dirk Nowitzki (8 games, 30.6 ppg. KD now has an average of 31.0 ppg over eleven games.

Derrick Brown sat out of the game due to his minor wrist injury. "I guess it was just my coach's decision to not play me today. He decided I should rest and anyway Jared was playin' so well, I don't think he wanted Jared to come out at all. I don't blame him at all." All five starters on the Domination's roster scored at least 14 points, and Shannon Brown, NC's new 6th man, scored 10. After the game Jerryd Bayless commented, "I surprised myself, I've been a poor shooter so far this season, but today I was 4-6 from outside. I also led the team in blocks!"

Walter Herrmann, who scored 15, had seven boards, and four assists, said in a short interview, "We played well. This team's come a long way in a short amount of time. We came within three of a very tough team. I would like to congratulate Jeff Green on his record-breaking night, and as encouragement to the rest of my team, I hope this game is a sign of things to come. We've come very close to beating one of the best in the league. Coming close won't cut it, as we play the Miami Heat next. I don't expect to win - I mean, I'd enjoy it obviously, but we're improving and I'm very happy with this. We've got two weeks in which to practice for the Heat game. If we win, we could make a real name for ourselves and I'm highly anticipating this game."

OKC: 27 - 58 - 86 - 116 - Kevin Durant: 42 points (17-21 FG%, 4-5 3P%, 4-6 FT%), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals, 1 foul, 3 turnovers
NCD: 25 - 54 - 86 - 113 - Jared Dudley: 18 points (7-19 FG%, 4-8 3P%, 0-0 FT%), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 5 fouls, 5 turnovers [First triple-double in franchise history]

The battle of star small forwards would be outstanding.
Jared Dudley completed the franchise's first triple-double in just eleven games: a feat that took the NBA's second-newest franchise more than six years.
Morris Peterson with a highlight-reel-worthy dunk.
James Harden put the game just out of reach with a dunk with less than 30 seconds left.

Wouldn't expect a big man to break a steals record, but Jeff Green is pretty versatile. Your team's starting to click now, hopefully you can beat the Miami Cheat. :)

Domination [1-11] Bad News In Miami

Postby rise on Tue Dec 07, 2010 8:07 am

No Chance Against Miami

Things went downhill after the Domination's hot 13-3 start. Miami scored 17 straight points, while the Domination had four blocked shot attempts, and missed the other ten shots they took. In this time, Rubio's missed layup attempt was the only missed shot by a Heat player. Miami led 32-26 at the end of the first quarter. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were sitting for most of the second quarter after combining 24 in the opening quarter.

Jared Dudley, who had been taken out early due to foul trouble, matched up against Mike Miller very well and really put up some great stats. He started off with two quick threes, and then in the next play, blocked Mike Miller's shot and threw a cross-court assist to Brandan Wright, who jammed it in. Dudley scored four threes in the quarter and had 14 points. However great this play sounds for the Domination, you can count on the Heat to make some big plays. By the end of the first half, Ricky Rubio had an incredible fifteen assists, despite not scoring a basket. Bosh was rebounding well and teamed up with Udonis Haslem to showcase some outstanding blocks. The Domination found themselves just four points shy at the half after an unexpected buzzer-beater by newly-acquired forward Nic Batum. Unknown to him, it would be his last shot for a long time.

With the Big 3 on the floor after a long break, they were ready to go. However, play was stopped early in the third. After a layup from Chris Bosh, Nic Batum collapsed on the ground, grabbing his shoulder and screaming, after an accidental push from Ricky Rubio. No foul was awarded, but Batum was unable to move the shoulder after the fall and at first glance, NBA doctors announced he would likely need surgery. After the major setback, the Domination seemed shaken. Jared Dudley was playing on four fouls and the team's other small forward, Derrick Brown, played just a little over a minute due to his injury. He was cleared to play fully in an examination after the game. Walter Herrmann played minutes at the 3 while Dudley sat, but neither could find his shot. Adam Morrison also tried and failed as well, as Dwyane Wade and LeBron scored 13 each and Bosh scored 3. North Carolina was outscored 29-20.

North Carolina received another blow early in the fourth quarter when Chris Bosh drew a foul on Jerryd Bayless and Bayless fouled out of the game. Left with Acie Law and Kyle Lowry, who were both shooting cold, the Domination were left without playmaking. Shannon Brown took the shot-chucking duties at the end of the game (shot 1-6 in the fourth) while DeJuan Blair and Walter Herrmann tried their luck at offensive rebounding. Eventually it failed as LeBron James grabbed four straight boards. When the game ended, Jared Dudley and Walter Herrmann were the only North Carolina players with more than seven points and combined 53, while Miami's Big 3 + Mike Miller approached 100.

After the game, North Carolina GM Zee Otoo was informed that Nicolas Batum's body reacted to the injury very severely, resulting Batum to nearly lose consciousness multiple times, due to an abnormally rapid heart rate. Batum was rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery. The injury will probably be season-ending. Newly-acquired center Hassan Whiteside will make his debut on the Domination's lineup, adding some needed depth in the team's frontcourt.

There was no denying how much more skill the Heat had.
Adam Morrison swats D-Wade's shot in his face.
LeBron dunks all over Acie Law.
Jared Dudley dunks all over LeBron.
Chris Bosh dunks all over everybody.

Game couldn't have gone any worse! (N) Injury to Batum, cold shooting and shot-chucking, looks like you were destined to lose that game. Like that Ammo block though, that's what his Greatness is capable of. :)

No. This game could have been a lot worse. Dudley could have been injured like that, in which case, I would likely have done a reboot.

NC Domination [1-12] - Narrow Loss To Cleveland

Postby rise on Thu Dec 09, 2010 6:16 am

Herrmann After Loss to Cleveland: "Better Days Lie Ahead"

Despite a monstrous 3rd quarter performance in which Jared Dudley scored 20 of his team's 27 points, the Domination were unable to pull off a victory, due to a last-minute push by Anthony Parker. Scoring 28 points, he shot 55% and led all scorers. Daniel Gibson played a huge role in getting Cleveland the win as well. He netted 5-5 from outside and totaled 17 points. Brad Miller had respectable numbers with eight rebounds and five steals, but didn't have the impact of the man he was recently traded for - a disgruntled Andy Varejao. Antawn Jamison was surprisingly silent, even though he was playing in front of a severely underachieving JJ Hickson, who played a single minute, scored nothing and rebounded nothing. His only impact was a stolen ball from DeJuan Blair.

It was down to just three players to play the whole game for the Cavs. Anthony Parker, Mo Williams, and Daniel Gibson played just strong enough to snag a win away from a now 1-12 North Carolina Domination.

The Domination dominated most of the second half, right until Parker caught fire and scored eight points in the last thirty seconds. Jared Dudley's game outdid anyone else's despite the loss. He shot 67% from the field, 50% behind the arc, totaled 26 points and got 8 rebounds. Walter Herrmann seemed to have an off-night, only scoring 8 and bringing down six boards. Kyle Lowry provided a needed substitution for an ice-cold Jerryd Bayless. Lowry scored twelve points on perfect shooting and dished a pair of assists to Adam Morrison, who had 14 points.

Both teams played a clean game, with only Walter Herrmann racking up more than two fouls. Despite his (and his whole team's) erratic play, Walter Herrmann says nobody on the team is even remotely frustrated. "We know we're at the bottom of the league. We've been trying to get things to work and when they do, we'll be a decent team. Even those who came out of championship caliber teams, like DeJuan Blair, Shannon Brown, Dexter Pittmann, and Glen Davis, they know what they've left behind. DeJuan Blair's really happy playing here next to Jared Dudley, Shannon's in the running for Sixth Man of the Year, he's playing great, Dexter Pittmann said to me that he's happy with his D-League team, and Glen Davis said that he misses Boston, but has gotten over the disappointment of being taken off that team and he's ready to make a difference. We all know better days lie ahead."

CLE: 18 - 40 - 50 - 82 - Anthony Parker: 28 points (11-20 FG%, 4-6 3P%, 2-2 FT%), 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers, 1 foul

- Jared Dudley: 26 points (10-15 FG%, 3-6 3P%, 3-6 FT%), 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 5 turnovers, 2 fouls

Denver has had a really easy start to the season. The only tough team they've played so far iirc is the Lakers, who they beat by a point. They've mainly played teams like the Wolves, Bucks, Warriors, and Domination. JR Smith has had an enormous start though, he and Carmelo average approxiamtely 45-50 between them.

The funniest thing about this thing is that Raymond Felton was traded back to Charlotte.

NC Domination [1-13] - We Almost Beat the Lakers!

Postby rise on Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:54 am

Domination Nearly Upset The Lakers

North Carolinians had things to hope for halfway through the second quarter, as they watched their struggling new team hold a eight point advantage against the Lakers. Their hopes vanished by halftime and didn't reappear until the end of the game. They had to endure huge streaks of made shots from a variety of players. Pau Gasol scored 8 of his 14 points in the last two minutes of the first half to convert a two point deficit to a six point lead.

As the Lakers' lead extended to twelve, Domination fans and bench players alike started to lose hope. Walter Herrmann didn't. With four minutes left in the third quarter, he sank a long three, immediately stole Kobe Bryant's pass to Primoz Brezec, snuck an amazing pass under Bryant's arm to Jared Dudley who drilled a wide-open three. On the next play, Herrmann drew a foul on Derek Fisher, took a long inbound pass from Jared Dudley, and reverse-jammed on Primoz Brezec. After this, a two-minute scoring drought occured on both ends of the floor, Kobe scored a quick jumper, and the quarter ended with Lakers still up by six.

Shannon Brown and Adam Morrison had both previously played with the Lakers. Both played strong defense in the fourth quarter. Shannon Brown displayed a huge block on Andrew Bynum as the 7-foot, 300-pound center attempted a dunk, ran the length of the court and nearly dunked on Kobe, who unfortunately stole the ball, before Brown could jam it. Adam Morrison immediately stole the ball and nailed a quick jumper.

Jared Dudley ran cold in the early fourth quarter, but went clutch at the very end, cutting North Carolina's deficit from 10 to 1, with a quick series of three layups, and three foul shots. With 40 seconds left, the Domination were ready to pull off an enormous upset. But it never happened. Ron Artest nailed an open three, Jared Dudley attempted one, but it bounced in and out of the rim. Bynum grabbed the rebound, and dished it to Derek Fisher who ran all over, avoiding being fouled and running down the clock. He swished a mid-range jumper, setting the Lakers six-point lead in stone. The Lakers are 15-1, while the Domination drop to 1-13.

LAL: 19 - 41 - 62 - 88 - Derek Fisher: 10 points (3-11 FG%, 0-1 3P%, 4-4 FT%), 4 rebounds, 12 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 4 fouls, 2 turnovers
NCD: 24 - 35 - 56 - 82 - Walter Herrmann: 21 points (9-15 FG%, 3-6 3P%, 0-0 FT%), 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 0 turnovers

NC Domination [1-14] - WTF? Curry went berserk!!!

Postby rise on Sat Dec 18, 2010 9:24 am

Domination So Close, Yet So Far Away

Jerryd Bayless set two totally different franchise records in one night with 16 assists and 8 steals, and he also kept a very close watch on Stephen Curry the first three quarters, reducing him to five points, ten assists, and five fouls in the first eighteen minutes of regulation. North Carolina had a fairly comfortable twelve point lead when Stephen Curry came into the game with five fouls. Little did Zee Otoo (or anybody, for that matter) know that Curry would go completely berserk in the fouth quarter. Nobody knew he would score 22 points in six minutes, dish five more assists, and not foul out. "We all thought Bayless would be able to draw one more foul on Curry like he did the rest of the game, but Curry totally exploded, Acie and Kyle, even Shannon and Dud tried, but nobody could stop Curry. He's a machine." said Zee Otoo after the game.

Curry is currently sixth in the league in points per game, just behind Dirk Nowitzki and directly ahead of NC's own Jared Dudley. He had a season-high 15 assists, but also recorded a season-high in turnovers and fouls with 13 and 5 respectively. He and backcourt teammate Monta Ellis completed their seventh straight game of combining at least 50 points and tonight combined 58 on 25/36 shooting. They are the second-best-performing backcourt duo in the league, next to the red hot Phoenix backcourt of Nash and J-Rich. This backcourt was relentless. When Curry sat out more than half of the second and third quarters with foul trouble, backup Jason Williams added 16 points on 86% shooting.

Jared Dudley and Walter Herrmann have proven to be a very underrated tandem at the two forward positions and still are. They both competed at very high levels, combining 57 points on 23/34 shooting, while shooting and making half of those from the perimeter. They also combined 14 rebounds, 7 steals, and 10 assists. These outstanding stats overshadow the fact that Adam Morrison also played very well, netting four outside shots and totaling 15 points. Another up-and-coming player is Brandan Wright. He recorded five blocks and 14 points tonight and in the last couple of games, has come off the bench before Glen "Big Baby" Davis has. This has sparked trade rumors about Glen Davis, involving a wide range of teams, including his original team the Celtics, the Nets, 76ers, Bobcats, Cavaliers, Suns, and Heat, just to name a few. Davis scored six points in eight minutes and only grabbed three rebounds.

The Warriors have one of the best backcourts in the NBA with Ellis and Curry averaging 50 points between them.
Jerryd Bayless put up crazy numbers including eight steals. He stole this one from Ellis.
Vladimir Radmanovic had his share of points, with 11.
Monta Ellis nailed a half-court shot with .1 seconds left in quarter number 3.
Jared Dudley shoots a wide-open three. There was no one on that side of the court.
Adam Morrison: "I almost died when I dunked that! My head barely missed the backboard!"
