Thierry - what happened? THABEET GOES ON HAPPENED!

Martti - yeah, the goose egg Curry laid in assists was definitely annoying;

Wyze - suggestive? maybe heheh; half the fun is coming up with corny titles if/when the opportunity presents itself;

Ax - "You should've sandwiched Mayo." <-- aww Ax, that's nearly as cheesy as my title lol… Lettuce be done with the puns and get back to hoops ;)

Andrew - No prob… already tackled Rondo, Walker, Dudley, Moon & Boone who are now fixed locally and will upload them to the CMod thread soon as I get the rest (will keep you posted);

Lamrock - yah, I think I started with PC Proj v3.6 (or maybe 3.5? I knew I should've documented which one in the early posts); as Andrew mentioned, the current PC Proj has Thabeet rated 69 ovrl, M. Gasol at 73 but on the IRL. In my dynasty, Thabeet's a 73, Gasol 75, so I'm not sure why Marc's not starting actually; may have to dbf brute force him into the lineup as well as check out their primacy ratings which has everything to do which how much they score;

Megarover - I felt more like this :facepalm: for Curry even though he led the team in scoring; he is supposed to be my PG afterall

If Gasol's still just a 73 overall, there's probably a couple of ratings that still need adjusting. Will keep it in mind. (Y) Also great news about those cyberfaces, appreciate it and looking forward to the upload. :)

Breakdown

Maybe in a parallel bizarro universe, the Heat could've convinced All-Star Dwyane Wade to re-sign with Miami back on July 26, 2010; then somehow, they would've magically enticed fellow All-Star free agents Chris Bosh and LeBron James to join him, thus laying the foundation of potential championships for years to come.

Alas, that storybook fantasy was rudely shattered after Wade's self-indulgent 1-hour ESPN special (see, "The Decision") which announced plans to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder to play alongside All-Star Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, thereby making Wade the most vilified ex-hero of South Beach.

Following that fateful July 2010 media spectacle now referred to by scorned Miami locals simply as "The Defection", all expected the Heat to implode as a franchise and quickly disappear into NBA oblivion; yet surprisingly they proved remarkably resilient, thanks to veteran big man Jermaine O'Neal.

In last season's 2011 Playoffs, O'Neal and the Miami Heat stunned all witnesses by rising to the post-Wade challenge and securing the 5th seed out East; meanwhile, Wade and company struggled under high expectations in Oklahoma City, finishing 7th in the Western conference.

Ultimately neither would advance past the 1st round, eliminated by Boston and Denver respectively; but not after the Heat sent a strong message to the league and more importantly to themselves -- they could and would survive in a post-Wade world.

Now in 2011, roughly 20 games into the season, the Heat hover near the .500 mark but are arguably better than last year's team and are likely to make a solid run at a playoff spot toward season's end.

During the off-season the Heat locked in point guard Mario Chalmers and soon after, free agent PG Jeff Rogers from New Jersey, now in his 2nd season.

Following that they re-signed rising star Daequan Cook and brought in high-flying Shannon Brown as well as veteran big man, Jamaal Magloire, to further fortify their front court.

Finally, the Heat wisely stocked themselves full of eager, yet unproven rookies as insurance against injuries, including Purdue's 7'1" 272lbs bruiser, J.D. Friedman, with the 23rd overall pick in the draft.

Now with 15-year pro Jermaine O'Neal once again setting an MVP caliber pace averaging 24 points, 11 rebounds and just under 3 blocks per game, look for the Heat to make waves once again in the post-season to come.

GL against the Heat. Without D-Wade, they look vulnerable, but I sure don't like the looks of Jermaine. :shifty:

Man, don't hate Wade. :D

Actually, the Heat in Live 06 are pretty much the same with or without Wade, as Jermaine does most of the damage.

Andrew - again no prob ;)

Thierry... c'mon...

Martti - hate Flash? you kiddin'? Wade gave me some of my funnest sports bar moments of screaming intoxicated victory profanities at pouting Mark Cuban when he and the Diesel overcame the Mavs for ring #1; Wade will always be a hero in my eyes for that run

CMod update

Postby Clutch on Sun Jul 11, 2010 2:23 am

Latest CMod batch added (heads up Andrew!)

viewtopic.php?p=1177113#p1177113

Headband updates for:

    · Rajon Rondo
    · Al Thornton (already had headband far as I can tell?)
    · Bill Walker
    · Daniel Gibson (updated head shape)
    · Jared Dudley
    · Jamario Moon
    · James Singleton
    · Josh Boone (updated head shape)
    · JR Giddens
    · Julian Wright
    · Maurice Ager
    · Renaldo Balkman

    · Gerald Henderson (hair line texture fix)
    · Amar'e Stoudemire (more proportional head shape size)

Headbands may need NBA/Team logos, which are optionally added in "Edit Player"

Amar'e is the only 'major' update and the one I like to use locally in-game (his default 'Bobblehead'-edness always bugged me.) Anyhoo, check him out; if you decide you prefer his originals, just go to your sgsm folder and delete all his files, prefixed with "amstoud" (ex: "amstoud.fsh", "amstoudB.ebo" etc); it will revert to his default model - cheers
____

Martti, Valor - :wink: Wade may be an NBA posterboy IRL, but in 'Clutchworld' he's somewhat the villain, at least in Miami lol

Hot Start, Cool Finish As Warriors Overcome Heat

Dec 6, 2011 Oakland, CA (AP) - Joakim Noah's 14 point, 13 rebound double-double helped lift the Golden State Warriors to a 121-113 home victory over Jermaine O'Neal and the Miami Heat.

The two big men battled fiercely throughout the night with O'Neal getting the best of Noah during the early goings. 8 points in the first quarter by Miami's big man gave the Heat a 7 point edge after one as the Warriors struggled to score against the Heat's half-court interior defense.

The Warriors spread the floor and took advantage of Miami's weaker perimeter to start the 2nd quarter, a strategy that would prove to be the tide changer. Anthony Morrow rained in 4-5 three-pointers to lead Golden State in scoring with 24 points while adding 5 assists, 1 rebound and a steal for good measure. The Warriors would shoot 50% on 6-12 from downtown while the Heat connected on just 2 of 6 attempts.

Golden State continued to chip away at Miami's lead through the 2nd and 3rd quarters, saving their best for last with a 11-0 run to start the 4th. Vince Carter finished strong, scoring 9 of his 23 points in the final period also contributing 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

"We finally figured them out in that last quarter," said Carter following the match. "You could tell on their faces they got frustrated… it was just a matter of sticking to our game plan and finishing them off." Golden State outscored Miami 37-28 in the final quarter.

The Warriors have a good five day stretch to prepare, rest and recuperate before heading off to take on the Pistons in Detroit on Monday night.

Game Notes:

- Kelenna Azubuike sat yet another game despite being cleared to play from a previous strained calf injury... Azubuike's omission from the starting lineup have sparked rumors of a pending trade, though nothing has been confirmed at this time.

Anthony Morrow red hot from downtown including this just-before-halftime ridiculous bomb

Noah throws it home with authority courtesy of Magloire's "assist" | 4 defenders? No prob for Vinsanity with the reverse layup

Beasley forgot his Meal Ticket... and gets served some good ol' fashion home cookin' because of it

Well at least Steph didn't go assist-less. Nice job figuring out how to wash away the Heat's defense, and it payed off. (Y)

Nice see to Noah pick up a double-double. I'm interested to see what you've got planned as far as trading Azubuike.

It's a contract season for VC so that might be part of it :lol:

Noah stepped up, no doubt; words not out yet on Kelenna...

thx man, glad to see you transitioning 'back in the loop' and yeah, i am diggin' the lineup too

that won't happen too often with Steph, you can guarantee that!

you're right about RL Miami unfortunately :( ... luckily my guys won't need to worry about that Olympic squad; about the starters? technically Azubuike is the normal starting SF, Carter at SG with Morrow off the bench
