I need help. I want to see if the experts out there can tell me what my computer may need to run NBA 2k15 on the highest settings. I listed the minimum/recommended settings below. Im willing to spend up to $300-$350 on parts. Here is what I have currently
Windows 7 Home
Processor AMD A10-5800k APU with Radeon HD Grapics (quadcore) 3.8 GHZ
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GC (7,45 GB Usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system
Currently, I am able to run NBA 2k14 on the highest settings, even able to implement an FXAA tool, Ambient occlusion HBAO on Ultra, etc etc. Currently though, I use Radeon PRO placing the Vsync on Dynamic, and I get 60 FPS. The game, to me, looks awesome with no issues. Occasional an ENB will mess with the framerate, but I don't like most of the ENBS anyway. Thanks in advance for the advice
Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit or higher
Processor: Intel Core2 Duo or better
Memory: 2 or more GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 10.1 compatible (512 MB) or better
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space
Sound Card: 9.0c compatible
Additional Notes: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad
Recommended:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit or higher
Processor: Intel Core i7 or better
Memory: 4 or more GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 11.0 compatible (2 GB) or better
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space

tatlopuyo wrote:Again all the comments im reading is over estimating whats really needed by this game to run on the highest quality possible.. you are overrating console specs and underrating the power of the pc's..if the game can run on a dual core and 512 graphic card at minimum i guess you have an idea thats it does not need a strong or high end pc to run on the highest quality possible.. i dont have a high end pc and my rig is simple but i am confident i can run this game on all high settings smoothly without any problems. Whats my basis for that? I played this game on pc since 2k11 and i played this game on the ps4 this year..studied and observed it thats why i knew what is needed to run this game in the first place. And i said it here and some people called me crazy. 2gb dual core minimum. Thats not a lucky guess. Study the two games and see if theres much difference and you will all figure it out. Its actually easy. Thats all. Thank you.

wait till the Game comes out
your Graphics Card is a Directx11 Card so you dont know.. maybe it is sufficient
try it and then decide if you need an upgrade

BUT, you would consider me to be SAFE if I were to get that second graphics card in there? Im only slightly worried about the processor, because from what I can tell it resembles an I5 instead of an I7. I feel like my RAM is high enough so I wont spend money there. Obviously we are all kinda guessing because next gen is new to PC for basketball games. But the goal is to be able to run NBA 2k15 on the highest settings possible, at 60fps, like I do now with NBA 2k14. I LOVE this way 2k14 looks, looks much better than the XBOX360 version (I use Lagoa v6.0 global with default body type, FXAA by Frostt etc) I play it on a 46 inch to with 1920 x 1080 resolution via HD cable. My TV is an ELEMENT 1080p HD. I have two XBOX360 wired controllers hooked up. I want to thank all the amazing modders out there as well, the TNT mods, roster mods (UBR) etc have made 2k14 the best, cant wait for modding to be figured out for the new game

Honestly, with the new Graphics Card generation coming out this Fall, i would not buy anything right now!
because even if you still want to buy a 760 then, it will propably drop in Price one the 880 is released
Yes your Ram is absolutly fine and even your CPU should be good enough, its a strong 3.8 GHZ Quad Core, wich is perfectly fine for another year to play almost everything (2k15 for certain)

If I were you, I would just wait for the 800 series for the same reason I advised someone else - if nothing, it will lower prices of 600 and 700 series models.
But GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM starts at $250, 4GB editions at $300.
GTX 770 2GB starts around $350 and 4GB around $390.
