No probs! :)
It's just a common misconception that makes me chuckle when ppl always say that. No offence or ne thing of course!

Tony wrote:and i do too miss the replay option... especially on the drag races that'd be quite cool to look at with their intensity and all... but still its a nice game - a good starting point for something grander.

True. The game is pretty nice grahpically the way it is. I just downloaded the demo to give it a try. It harsh reminds me of The Fast and the Furious.

Will try to get the game this week from a friend. Can't afford to buy it, and don't have the time to wait.

IGN wrote:no replays

WTF! I love to watch the replays in a car game. NFS:HP2 had a replay mode but it sucked quite much, anyway how the hell can they dismiss something important like that :?:

IGN wrote:We're sorely missing 60 frames per second

Sounds like it need a hell of a machine I don't have any money to upgrade my PC. Just hope that it runs more smoothly than GTA 3 (Shit programmers)

BTW: I just heard that soundtrack included hiphip music, that's reall nice, about time the car games remove all that techno shit (which was okay but not good)

I love that speed effect, looks great.
How does "NOS" work in the game, can you use when ever you want, and how long does it last, how's the handling etc.

NOS was added to NFS: High Stakes too, although you didnt get a meter and all, but the patchers (car-makers) made new Carp files where they changed some of the gear numbers, and reprogrammed the honk button. All you had to do in a race was press the honk button and you would get a kickass boost out of your car. This did make turning and all a little harder if you're in such a high speed, but it had it's advantages, specially if you're running from the cops.

There was this one guy who made a modified track (the arizona looking one) and made it one big stretch of sand and road. He removed all the objects so you couldnt crash, sort of like a test course, that was some fun. I remember, once I ran the Speed-o-meter upto 6000+ MPH...sure unrealistic, but seeing everything swish by and see your screen was naussicously amazing.

Enough reminiscing I guess.

Yeh the motion blur looks cool, but its a bitch when you are trying to avoid hitting into traffic, so yeh, i turn it off..
also in those screens for some reason u don't see the flames coming out of the exhaust :? hehe which is the my fav visual thing..

but yeh, i've been stuck on race 103/111 for like 3days now..
always end up hitting the pillar on the final lap of a 7 lap race.. :x

I've got a skyline in the game :)

ofcourse, i chose it for the sole reason that it's an unpopular choice, but i passed my drivers exam on that car, and i took it just to see what kind of monster this game can make out of it ;)

updated, after playing it for a while tonight... frontal (and from the rear)

Oh, I understand, it's a sentimental reason. Well I've change my mind
now, i'll take the Eclipse (spl?). I forgott that it was in the game last time I wrote. Anywat the Eclipse and Supra looks best of all the cars.

BTW: I know there are 20cars, can you write down everyone please.

If I'm lucky I'll get the game today, in about 7 hours.

This time it costs about 8$ but it worth it, cuz then I can tell my fake-ass-friend that I have it, and he can not borrow it cause he is a jerk

Fixed the game today by another dude (that I only knew through ICQ and never
meet in real-life). Anyway I like the game much, it took about 10-15 minuts to get
the graphic right (I'm going with 1024*768, BTW: Where is the *32 or *16 option??)
Will post a pic of my ride soon.
But I gotta a question. The screnns dosen't get blurry (spl) when I drive fast, not even
at the drag racing mode? Where can I activate this effect?
Just another question when you updates some things on the cars there are like 3 or 4
different packages, what the different between (well it says different names, like Jackson etc.)
, I never know which one to pick :(

there's a customize graphics card option... or something like that, you need to turn on "motion blur".

as for the packages... i just pick ones by the name i like most, i think all are the same...
