can anyone tell me how to load this updated roster in online play?

I'm going to re-enable that option for the next version so that you can manually select the path if the installation doesn't correctly detect the folder where you've installed NBA Live 08.

Sir is there any way I can just extract the roster file and not include the art updates? Cause the art will mess up my ongoing dynasty story (I am still in the 08 season where OKC is still the Sonics). Or should I just wait for the next version where I can choose where to extract the files?

You need to copy the dbf files from the roster's save folder (either NLSC00809 or 0809Uninjured, whichever version you'd prefer) to the database folders under My Documents\NBA Live 08\database, specifically the originaldb, currentdb and workingdb folders. You also need to copy the files to the OrigDB folder under the main game folder; by default, that's located at C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08\database\OrigDB.

Correct, as well as OrigDB within the main game folder.
