If they want everyone to move to consoles, it wouldn't make much sense to continue releasing games for the PC (FIFA 09) or let it be known they intend to return to the PC platform with their other franchises in 2009.

He wasn't talking about that. He was suggesing that Sony gives money to EA to stop production for the PC and force gamers to buy a console, which doesn't explain why they're returning to the PC platform next year or the fact that EA games are not Sony exclusive.

Nah, Sony's PC division comprises mainly laptops (with worthless integrated graphics) and severely overpriced desktops. Their media division functions as separately as if it were its own company.

There won't be a link confirming this obviously, but I'm pretty sure that Sony officials in meetings with game producers wouldn't be "encouraging" them to produce PC versions. (everyone's got a PC these days, most of which will play some of these games reasonably well, especially crap EA sports games with their piss poor graphics.)

And another thing, the PC platform is just so much better. Any person with half a brain would choose it over a console. How the heck do you play first person shooters, rpg's, and simulations on a console anyway? Do you aim with the wussy right thumbstick? Pathetic. Moore's an idiot if he thinks the future of gaming lies in "sitting on the couch" style gaming vs. sitting at a desk. I personally would rather give up gaming completely than play some teeny-bopper 8-year-old's game with lots of flashing lights and bright colors in a fantasy world.
