about the question 3, from 2000-2001 season it's 6 MVP awards, but if you mean from 1999-2000 season, then it's 7 and includes Shaggy. :P

It's pre-shot clock though, probably not so much a case of good defense as extreme stall ball.

players used to just pass the ball around until time expires, and i guess they don't have the backcourt violation back then, so the game is really boring during that time...
