12 Man Roster that would cost you $1.2 Billion

Player, commited dollars/years/per year
Kevin Garnett 128,000,000 /6/ 21.3
Jermaine O'Neal 126,472,500 /7/ 18.1
Tim Duncan 122,007,700 /7/ 17.4
Stephon Marbury 104,906,250 /6/ 17.8
Allen Iverson 104,906,250 /6/ 17.8
Jason Kidd 103,572,000 /6/ 17.3
Chris Webber 95,625,000 /5/ 19.1
Shaquille O'Neal 88,392,862 /3/ 29.5
Elton Brand 82,200,000 /6/ 13.7
Michael Finley 79,687,500 /5/ 15.9
Shawn Marion 79,284,439 /6/ 13.2
Steve Francis 79,283,535 /6/ 13.2

Dollars Owed:
$1,194,338,036

Best deal in my opinion is Garnett's, Shaq makes bigger money now, but not as much altogether, KG's is one year shorter than Duncan's and Jermaine's and it's still more!

How much money is 1.2 Billion Dollars?

If it were cut into all the days of all the deals, it would be (25,185 days)
$47,422.59 per day.
It's a BMW everyday.

It should be noted, while I agree that these are large numbers, the money is available and the players do deserve a majority chunk of it, they afterall are the reason the money is made anyway, I wouldn't think since the money is being made, that some big wig and his four buddies or whatever shouldn't get it all, the players get what they can, it's a lot though.

I wonder how these large contracts effect the price of Tickets, Merchandise and NBA League Pass? That is what I would like to know, I am paying for it when I pay $41.00 to sit in the nosebleed seats at Staples. :furious:

 is like $6.50 for a 12oz. plastic cup at Staples.

:o Crazy ass money!I would really need that kind of money... :P .
1.2 Billion dollars shows that in 10 years there will be even more bigger contracts!
Yeah, you think that the players are rich as hell but the owners are even richer!
Paul_pierce_the_truth said that beer is is like $6.50 for a 12oz. plastic cup at Staples. Imagine that hundred thousands of people buy it!That's wack!

You talk about two week checks, Garnett over the term of his contract split up into 26 payments a year is.

$1,153,846.15 every two weeks!!

Let's say they hit him for 30% taxes, average for the wealther.

He would be handed a check every two weeks for $887,573.96

There are guys in the league, many of them that get a check for like:

$12,820 ($333,333 net)

It's good money for sure, but imagine seeing 887K and looking at your 12K. :?

Ok, I agree with you. Michael Finley is way over-rated!
