I agree that Allen should definetly be higher up, as for the top ten i'm not so sure. Who would you take out for him to replace?

I think he's easily better than Chris Paul or Carmelo Anthony. Just because somebody is going to be an amazing player in a couple years doesn't make them better at this point in time. Too many people are in there just off potentional.

A better ten might look like this...

1. Kobe Bryant
2. Steve Nash
3. LeBron James
4. Dwayne Wade
5. Tim Duncan
6. Allen Iverson
7. Ray Allen
8. Dirk Nowitzki
9. Kevin Garnett
10. Paul Pierce

Ray Allen ahead of Dirk, Garnett, Pierce and Anthony? I agree with the Chris Paul comment but he is not better than Pierce or Anthony, and Dirk and Garnett have already shown they are two of the leagues best. Don't get me wrong, Ray Allen is very good, but Carmelo at this point is better and due to age I don't see that changing. In fact, Carmelo beats out Allen in all major statistical categories except for TO, FT% and 3PT% in 3 minutes less playing time.

Dirk shouldn't trail Allen, i actually agree with him sitting in at around 4th. As for "Wade>Lebron", i'd take Wade everytime.

You guys didn't read my post....

The list was written at the beginning of last summer. They revised it two months ago with the list I posted.

ahh No i dont think so  ... Cy was right actually it was started in November and every couple of days they would add a new player and every one added their oppinions on that player, eventually working their way down to number 1. Then they finished and did the redux (the same top 50 but what they thought they got wrong/right at the time). Theres no way it was made last summer because Bargnani wasn't even playing then

and with this
BigKaboom2 wrote:Ok....nevermind what I said before. The topic is kind of misleading. I clicked the link and saw that this list was made a long time ago. The "Redux" part was adding

SLAM wrote:My top 10 regrets for being on the list at all or coming in way too high/low low are:

1. Bargnani
2. Darko
3. Hinrich
4. Kidd
5. Kirilenko
6. Pierce
7. Bosh
8. Marion
9. KG
10. T-Mac

Guys I wish we included:

1. Baron Davis
2. Lamar Odom
3. Caron Butler
4. Emeka Okafor
5. Ben Gordon
6. Rasheed Wallace
7. Carlos Boozer
8. Deron Williams
9. Richard Jefferson (sort of)
10. Peja (sort of)

As well as...

SLAM wrote:46. Andrea Bargnani - Okay. This was goofy. Our bad. This upset people.
49. Darko Milicic - Yeah, that was dumb.

and the first guys in your post Bargnani, Darko, Hinrich etc. were all in the list originally, it's just they think they got it wrong where they put them, and with the 2nd lot of guys there Baron, Lamar, Caron etc. were guys they wished they had've included originally, now a couple of months later they have played well etc....

I don't think it's fair to call Carmello better than Ray. Ray has proven for more than ten years that he's one of the top players in the league. He is much more consistent than carmello, as well as much smarter with the basketball.

It's true that in just a couple years Carmello will be the superior player, but at this point in time I don't think it's fair to say that Carmello is better just because of age.

Ray has shown that when he's on he's as good as anyone offensively, except for somebody like Kobe or Iverson, who are untouchable offensively. When he has a bad night, he makes a consistent 22-24 points, and when he has a good night it's 28-32 pts, or in light of recent events, 54. I'm not trying to make him out to be better than Iverson or Kobe or LeBron, but I certainly think he's a lot better than people give him credit for, and a lot better than Carmello.

This season: (forget injuries/ suspensions_

1) Steve Nash
This year he actually deserves the MVP.

2) Kobe Bryant
Waaaay over-performing but he's become a leader.

3) Dirk Nowitzki
He's the best player on the best team.

4) Gilbert Arenas
Just scores more each year.

5) Yao Ming
Become the most dominant player center in the league.

6) Carmelo Anthony
Best scorer in the league until he met the Knicks.

7) Tim Duncan
Having a great year despite numbers not being great and his team not playing great.

8) Chris Bosh
Great year for the PF. Avergaing 4 more rebounds.

9) Dwayne Wade
Should be higher but he cannot seem to win consistently without Shaq with a better supporting cast than LeBron.

10) LeBron James
By his standards, not a great year.

Looking back this is basically an MVP candidate list. SHIT!!

Jermaine at 23rd is a complete joke. He is the best all around big in the Eastern Conference right now. Bosh may be a slightly better scorer, and Dwight a slightly better rebounder, but Jermaine does everything on both sides of the court including taking 1-2 charges every game.

6. TD(switch with Lebron if healthy)
7. T-mac(put to 4 and push everyone up if healthy)
8. Carmelo
9. Yao
10. Steve Nash/Shawn Marion/Jason Kidd

I don't know why Jason Kidd is so underrated and why Nash is so overrated. Kidd is the best true point guard in the league and a better player too.

Honorable Mention:
Jason Kidd, Manu Ginobili, Vince Carter, Shawn Marion..

Note: I put Wade down low because he hasn't been healthy this season and his team's been a total wreck. Though his play was good enough to make it into the top 25.

What a waste of time. Also, Jefferson over Iguodala?
