The second ghost car video is awesome, I've been to that area but never seen any of those.

 at how he got rid of it.

The first ghost car looked like a spawning glitch to me but the second looked like it might be some sort of horror movie reference/easter egg. A lot of people swear that CJ's mother's ghost is in the game but all the "proof" I've seen, while suitably eerie in some cases, isn't too convincing.

That's my strategy too. The handling on those quadbikes is atrocious.

Bikes are great for dating missions. You get to your destination a lot quicker.

I decided to pick up San Andreas again and try to make a bit of progress. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm still in the first chapter of the game but I believe Cesar's strand is the only one I need to finish before I'm able to open up the final missions in the first portion of the game. The fact I don't care for the street races is currently working against me but watching those vidoes on YouTube got me in the mindset to pick it up again so I'll probably give it another go this weekend.

That lowrider street race always shat me. It is the one street race in San Andreas that i have trouble with. The rest I am able to get through fairly easily, but there's something about the handling of the lowrider. Perhaps it's that when attempting to swing the camera around, I activate the hydraulics, causing the car to flip over on itself more often than not.

I always liked "Re-uniting the Families" in the first lot of missions, like the way it ends.

After a couple more attempts I passed it. I took it a bit easier on the corners and stayed back a bit until I got to a point where everyone else spun out leaving me to get a lead with a bit of distance. I'm now up to "Re-uniting the Families" but I wasn't really prepared on my first attempt and got taken down by the SWAT guys coming through the skylight.

FYI, use the Blade for Cesar's street race. IMO, it has the best handling of the lowriders. You can find one parked in the driveway of some homes in Cesar's neighborhood.

I ended up using the Savanna I still had in my garage from the earlier mission that opens up the customisation garage and introduces Cesar.

That's the one i usually use too. After a few failed attempts, i put custom wheels on it, which often helps with the handling surprisingly.

I got past it by using the Blade near Cesar's. It ended up smashed, though.

That seemed like too much effort for me. It's bad enough I've progressed to the point where I have to worry about defending and expanding the Grove Street territory. If I never see that concept in a GTA game, it will be too soon.

I agree that was a pain in the ass and really annoying part of the game.

I would always just get in a cab or cop car and start a mission, and then quit. Cheap, but who cares? lol I just bought a new TV, so I'm probly gonna be playing SA like a fiend until next month

What do you call a power forward that averages 7 rebounds?
A small forward.

I don't mind smokin' fools taking over their territory. But defending it can be a pain, especially if you're low on health(like empire-building in VCS). That's why I buy safehouses in Willowfield & Glen Park. When I get the alert, I rush to a safehouse and save the game.

That sounds a lot easier. I made the mistake of rushing to defend against an attack after a failed mission, and got taken down pretty quickly as I didn't employ a whole lot of strategy.

After I've taken over territory or finished a mission, I'm low on armor/health and in no shape to defend territory. I haul ass to the nearest safehouse and save.

I've already started new games with LCS & VCS, but all this SA talk is giving me the urge to roll with CJ & company.

Well, we all know that by now.

I decided to pull VCS out and try to get a bit further in that too. After failing Jive Drive a couple of times in the second part of the mission, I remembered why I put it on the shelf in the first place.
