What were your craziest NBA Live bugs?
I had played many, many, many games with Live 2003 without problems but had this bug for the first time today. I still can't believe it.
I took a shot...and the ball didn't bounce off the rim but got stuck on it.
Time passed...minutes passed. I couldn't get it. I tried to switch teams etc....nothing worked.
I fouled one player intentionally...thought this would maybe stop the game...instead all players were fould that touched my player. This happened for a minute or something. Then I got called for the foul...but still nothing happened. Had to quit the game. LOL
Here is a screenshot. I'm just uploading a video to youtube...will be online soon.
Mods, please don't lock this...and I posted it here, not in the 2003 section due to the low number of viewers there. I thought that I had to share this bug as it should be pretty unique.

One of the most frustrating bugs I've encountered is the one that involves the CPU taking (and making) a shot after the buzzer that counts in my NBA Live 06 Dynasty.
I'd held the Sixers off from a final push and they were out of timeouts, so they ran the ball up and put up a shot from beyond midcourt that missed after the buzzer sounded. However, as everyone was walking off the floor, a lone Sixers player tipped in the missed Hail Mary which somehow counted, forcing an overtime. From there, a combination of my own frustration with the bug and the comeback logic led to me losing the game. Needless to say, it was a tough loss to swallow.

Sadly, I've never had the opportunity. I've always been on the wrong end of that bug.

That's definitely a unique glitch. I can't remember experiencing anything that drastic, though in the early build of the 360 version of NBA Live 07 I played at the Community Day in 06 didn't quite have all the animations completed, so on a couple of dunks players were at times facing the wrong way before teleporting behind the backboard then appearing in front of the rim again. That didn't show up in the completed version however, so I guess it doesn't really count.

Did you try to take a time out?

I have been experiencing this bug since i began to use Kris's aiact 1.33v2, then 1.34. And I still don't know why this occurs.
And here's the thread where i posted this bug:

It's really strange and funny.

Andrew This bug happened to me the first time after playing around 170 games a 36 minutes. I released hundreds of shots... LOL
Boxer The Iceman comes to my mind. Frozen in time.
Blank I couldn't take a time out...neither me nor the cpu officially possessed the ball.

That's not really a bug with the game though, since it's the result of unofficial modding. Funny glitch all the same.

What about Live 95 bugs? I still love the player introductions' photos.
I had the game months before my first PC. LOL I bought the PC just for this game.

That's the most hilarious NBA Live thing I've ever seen along the 360 Live 07 fullcourt dunk

This is why i stopped fucking around with the physics of the game. (game was fully playable if I remember correctly)
Note Grant Hill on the left side of the picture.

You remember incorrectly. You told me it crashed shortly after.

I don't remember any portrait bugs in NBA Live 95, unless you mean the console's method of re-using the same bodies and switching the faces on the console versions. The PC version didn't use that same method though.
I remember NBA Live 96 PC had a couple of animation glitches where the players sometimes shot the ball sideways if you were facing away from the basket.

I remember those giant heads from generated rookies in 06 or 07... that was hilarious

It also had that in 05, sometime it really bothered me

It's not really a "crazy" bug or glitch because it kind of works as a good defensive strategy, but back in NBA Live 95 PC if you stood as close as you could to a CPU player inbounding the ball, the CPU player would attempt a bounce pass to get the ball by you and commit an out of bounds violation (bouncing the pass out of bounds instead of on the court). I'd say that worked at least eight times out of ten and was quite handy if you needed the ball back in a hurry, considering the PC version of 95 didn't have a steal button.

I once had David Wesley on fire. He had 8 steals...each time I moved him close to the other team's point guard he stole the ball within a second.

Another handy glitch was the way in which players in the really old games could get meshed together, which allowed you to steer an opponent out of bounds. Of course, it didn't seem so handy when an opponent, human or CPU, did the same thing to you.
I remember getting the CPU to score a home goal in NBA Live 95 a few times by forcing them to throw an overhead pass under the basket after the inbound. The ball would either hit the rim, affording you the chance to grab the rebound and gain possession or the ball would go in, the score would be displayed and the CPU would inbound the ball again. The basket wouldn't actually count towards the score though so it was more useful when the ball just hit the rim and led to a turnover.

Andrew and his mean tricks.

LOL

Whatever worked, in the absence of a steal button.

I had that happen to me once, excpet its wasn't during a sht attempt, it was after a defensive rebound.

When you modify the aiact.viv file (or use a pre-modded file) you're bound to experience some strange behaviour though, but like I said before it's funny all the same.
