Man i said "NoW" Bynum is no injured as you know... I don't think that D. Ilunga-Mbenga will play as a starter tonight..Right?.. So please somebody to answer me who is gonna be a center for L.A tonight against Raptors????

Is someone threatening to kill your family unless you tell them who's starting at C for the Lakers? Calm down
Sat Feb 02, 2008 7:54 am
well as garbage as Mihm is, they could play him. i think he might be hurt though. Otherwise, Turiaf despite being undersized is also another option at C and Phil has played him there before.
and btw, that Kwame is better than Gasol comment has to be one of the worst comments ever made
Sat Feb 02, 2008 7:57 am
Really doesnt bother me who we play tonight at center. Most important is that we are in the playoffs with that lineup and with the way the soon to come future is looking even if a weak frontline costs us tonight we should make that up easily once the lineup is in place.

Wow, nice move by LA. Jerry West is thanked on behalf of the LA management.
Hey, it's no KG but shit, Pau's good on his own merit. (Anyone remember that nasty dunk Pau laid on KG in his rookie season?)
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:11 am
Wow. That was unexpected.
Lakers now really have a great lineup.
Looking forwad to the next Celts-Lakers matchup.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:28 am
when i saw this thread the first thing i did was see if mcwade or whatever the hell his name was made it, then i checked to see if it was locked for being false, now that i see its real i cant believe it. my opinion is this is a great trade for both teams. i think its best for the lakers (anyone actually disagree?) but could turn out real good for memphis if they turn the cash into a big name player.
like buzzy said, i am looking forward to seeing the lakers and celtics in the nba finals again, though i am sure there are alot of teams that will say otherwise. major shock to me and i bet it will cause a ripple effect as other western teams will probably panic a bit and try thier best to make a move (looking at you dallas) to "keep up" with the lakers
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:29 am
Holy shit, can't believe this...
I fucking hate LAL so I'm pretty bummed out, they'll be hard to beat now, except if there are injuries. Can't believe Memp is only getting Kwame "2 left hands" Brown for Gasol...
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:29 am
The only time the Celts and Lakers can play again is if its in the final. Both games have already been played this year. (that would be a really cool finals though)
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:33 am
lakers just ripped off memphis
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:35 am
Just amazed
Lakers got pretty amazing starting lineup now.
Seems like Memphis aiming for another top 3 pick, cuz their frontcourt just sucks.
Just wow
P.S. When Pau´s gonna make his debute?

depends on your point of view, i think the griz got exactly what they wanted out of the deal, though they probably could have got more a year ago
Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:50 am
WTF!?....
Boston, watch out.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:08 am
Wow... just wow..
So I guess this takes the Lakers out of the Kidd trade talks?
I still find it somewhat ironic that one of the pieces Pau was traded for was his brother.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:12 am
Wow, this'll be interesting. Pau's never played with a big time scoring guard before so I wonder how he'll react.
Way to go Lakers though.

Big 3 bryan, Gasol, Bynum > Allen, Pierce, KG
Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:27 am

(ill have more to say when im not a little drunk)
Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:40 am
holy crap, they get rid of krappy brown for gasol, lakers are laughing

You haven't even included Odom yet.

Oh man! this is so cool!!! I was amazed because it is the featured article in Yahoo! oh man!!! We're gonna do great this year! Im so excited! I know Kobe is excited too
Sat Feb 02, 2008 10:04 am
Ain't it funny that the younger Gasol was a part of the deal for the elder Gasol. Haha. I guess that Memphis has thrown in the towel and started to rebuild now.

yeah they certainly should be considered a big 3 now but i would still take bostons 3, if only for thier ability to play as a team

I would agree....Lakers are more talented than they were on paper, but we shall see how it translate in the triangle....I still like the Celtics' 3 better....but if this were not for this season, but longer term, then yeah, I'd go with Lakers' 3 (plus Odom & Farmar)....
Sat Feb 02, 2008 11:14 am
Well the Grizzlies certainly have a ton of money coming their way after the trade for Jason Collins. Too bad no big time free agents would be interested in going to Memphis. Although, they could be saved if they end up with Beasley and Gilbert Arenas decides to go there, they will certainly have the money for him. Gilbert/Gay/Miller/Beasley would be a nice starting point for that franchise.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 11:23 am
good for LA, let's see if Gasol can adapt to the triangle
