Come on, Lamrock, lay off him. There wasn't a thread which headlined "All-Star Starters" so he made one.

The link works fine for me.

Did Tracy give up his spot or did Iverson beat him in the voting?

He overtook McGrady in the voting.

No surprises there except perhaps for Iverson managing to overtake McGrady, the other nine have been leading the way at their respective positions since the first figures were released.

West teams have always been stronger than east teams, but for this year's All Star Game, the East starters seem to be a stronger bunch than the West starters.

Since the first All-Star game I thought the East were heavily favored to win? At least until the late 90s. 34-22 East all-time. Since '95 the West have only won half of the twelve games played. I think the starters have been pretty balanced either way.

2 vets in the east versus 3 in the west could actually be fun to watch if they play it right... (no Wade and Lebron are not vets yet..)...

I meant west and east teams in the NBA (ie: Toronto's in the east, Phoenix is in the west), not All-Star East and All-Star West.

oh?...let's see...

1 championship, 1 finals mvp, 2 trips to the finals between them, 4 all-star game appearances a piece, 2 all-star mvp awards...etc etc. What are they then?

The fact that they are both in their fifth NBA season is probably enough to qualify them as veterans. They're just not what you'd call aging veterans, but they're beyond up-and-coming status by this point.
