I suppose his loyalty still lies with the Knicks and that's admirable, though I thought he'd pursue a team that was closer to title contention that could also offer him a decent amount of PT. Of course, it's up to such a team to want to sign him and the Knicks are obviously keen to give him a shot, so good luck to him.

Allan Houston chose one of the worst possible decisions he could ever choose for his career right now. He should have picked a title contending team or at the very least a lottery team so he can have PT.

His loyalty is admirable, though. However, there's a report that his comeback might still be a longshot after all, so there's a possibility he might still latch on elsewhere if things don't pan out in New York.

I've read a report that it was Isaiah Thomas who agreed to give him the tryout out of being friends/former teammates with him, his history with the Knicks, and wanting to give him a chance (Despite arriving to training camp late). I guess it's sort of loyalty shown from both sides.

The Knicks already have 15 guys under contract which is why Houston might not make the final cut. I wonder how much interest other teams have in him. As Andrew said, hopefully he might be invited to play elsewhere.

If he's healthy enough to play I assume there's a decent chance of him still making a comeback if the situation with the Knicks fall through. Teams like the Nets and Cavs might still be interested if he becomes available.

Scoreless in 6 minutes in a 40-point loss in the pre-season...

Doesnt auger well for a successful comeback.
