Hey there, I know I'm new but I read here often, figured I'd float this along as I just got the PS2 version a day early and I needed a break from playing!

There are signature shots in there and goto moves and they removed all the freestyle controls! Freestyle moves happen automaticlly now - I haven't seen anything over the top either which is a good sign I guess...

I've seen goto moves for McGrady, Iverson, Nowitz, Wade, Parker, Kobe, Arenas, LeBron, Nash, Carter and Chris Paul! I haven't seen any sig shots for Shaq though (kinda surprised at that), Marrion is there for sure, KG (maybe?), Brand, and Allen all have their sig shots. Still some glitch ref animations though, the D-Assist is good and you can't do stoopid passes any more on the higher difficulties - they get intercepted now :o the frame rate seems better too - but that might just be me

no francis or scola? is the cutoff date different in the ps2 then from the xbox 360/ps3 cause that makes no sense to not have 2 possible starters for a team

Wow! That all sounds pretty decent to me. I didn't think they would have actual GO-TO moves... According to the GO-TO moves posted on pastapadre.com, all the GO-TO moves looked like mostly fade away shots. So, that is interesting... Let me re-pose these questions to anyone with the PS2 version:

1.) Do the FIBA players on the France, Germany, Greece, etc teams have custom faces or are they generic?

2.) Is there still point guard domination?

3.) Is the Own-The-Paint feature very effective?

Here's the vid of the Go-To Moves. Most, if not all, are fadeaways. The only shot I respect is Dirk's. Watch for yourself, you can't tell the difference between shots.

I just got the game...there aren't many sig shots or anything. I have found Allen, Garnett, Dirk, Marion, Carter. Redd, Anthony, Lebron, Pierce, Nash, Amare, Prince, *insert random name* don't have one. The go-to-moves seem very bleh. The Dynasty mode setup is not like the 360.

The game seems real ok. Gameplay isn't bad by any means. These rosters really suck though. I don't understand why they couldn't bother to put all the first round picks in the game. How can you leave out Mike Conley?

- no half time show, intro 99% the same as 07

PS i still think that 2k7 is better than live 08 in PS2

hey jimmy, have you tried to perform layups and dunks with the right analogue stick while holding the freestyle superstar trigger like in 07 or has it change to something like, pressing dunk/layup button and the computer select what move can be performed.???

also have you tried to use the right analogue stick to perform post moves when under the basket??

What do you mean 10-man freestyle, I don't remember such a button?

I think Jimmy might be referring to Off-Ball Control which has been utilised by pressing the R3/right analog button.
