But now that Shawne Williams has been arrested with weed, the Pacers have filled the quota for getting a player behind bars every few months.

I always felt that Shawne Williams seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, so I'm a teeney bit suprised to see this happen. Then again, a lot of NBA players like to smoke it up, they just haven't been caught.

Shawne does have a good head on his shoulders. He's a smart guy.
However, I could have told you the second I first talked to him that he blazed all the time. He just has the look and voice.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him a smart guy...
Williams, the Pacers first-round draft pick in 2006, was initially charged with possession of marijuana, driving without a license, driving with an expired license plate and failure to signal a lane change, records show.
One passenger, Roderick Helton, 32, of Memphis, was carrying a Smith & Wesson 9-mm handgun that had been reported stolen in Collierville, Tenn. Reynolds arrested Helton for carrying the gun without a license and theft.
Pretty dumb to associate himself with moron buddies like that. I sure as hell wouldn't let my buddy ride in my car with a stolen handgun, but then again I wouldn't be driving without a license, expired tabs, or with weed in the cupholder.
Just another case of a complete idiot who gets paid millions because he can play ball - there's too many of them these days.

wtf does not signal if they are driving illegally? wtf draw any attention to you?

Sure this was a stupid occurance, but he left Memphis after one year and is going to get his degree next summer, a full year ahead of the full time college students. All this while playing in the NBA.
I just hope Larry and Donnie don't see this as an opportunity to bring down the hammer and show the team that this won't be tolerated. Shawne is too good to just be someone who is made an example of.
Maybe a 10 game suspension to start the year.

I know it's wrong to just "assume" that someone is into this sorta stuff, but I was honestly just waiting for something like this to happen involving Shawne.
He's still one of my favorite players in the league though, and honestly, alot of the NBA smokes weed. They just don't get caught by doing everything else they can possibly do wrong.

Wow, the mods at realgm are retarted.
Go look at the thread about this on the realgm pacers board.
They deleted every one of my posts, and no matter what I say they continue to say the same thing.
