B.J. Armstrong? But he was a Chicago great, not a NY great?

Indy's is hard.

Edit: mvpshaq32, James Worthy.

Anyways, since I figure no harm in throwing one out there...

1) Hornets, Warriors, Magic are some of the teams that have had him.
2) Has played the point forward position.
He's white too.

I don't mean that he was a New York great as in Knicks great, I mean he is from New York.

There is only player in the long list of NY pgs that refused to go to Toronto after playing there.

Hint #3, made his name in New Jersey.

This should be really easy by now.

Eric Snow.

1. Born, played his high school ball and college ball all in one city - Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

2. Was cut by his high school team and was never a Top 100 prospect, but was selected as a high lottery pick after one season in college.

Thank you Andrew.

OK new rule. If you are going to just google or wikipedia search for the answer, wait at least 1 hour before posting the answer. Let people who are trying to guess based on knowledge have a chance first.

To beat a dead horse, how the hell was Bob Pettit a lottery pick? The lottery was instituted in 1985, and Pettit was drafted in 1954.

Hammertime, is the answer to your's Gervin? I don't know if he wore any gear, but I know his number was retired by the Spurs.

Well he was a top 13 pick so it was pretty much like a lottery pick.

And no it's not Gervin.
